Again, what money was spent making this video?
i predict mojo will not answer this question
but if anyone else can...i too am interested in this...mojo has said this is wasteful spending....how so?
Again, what money was spent making this video?
I did not claim that at all. But there have been no claims that they purchased any equipment to make this video. If this video had not been made, what video equipment would not have been purchased? What actual money was spent on this video?
Yes, I am fairly certain the crew members who operated the equipment were off duty. But, for the sake of argument, what money would have been saved if on-duty personnel were used? The crew members gained more experience in filming, editing ect, and they were not paid more tax dollars for doing any of it. There is nothing consumed in making digital videos.
Again, what money was spent making this video?
So your position is that previously purchased equipment may be used by government personnel (as long as you're "fairly certain" the operating personnel are off duty) for any purpose without violating regulations?

No, that is not what I said. I simply pointed out that no money was wasted.
Perhaps you should rethink whether you dislike this for the content or the wasted money.
Yes I am. Are you ready to explain what wasteful spending you are talking about? What money was spent on this event?
The money that was spent on this event includes the use of the Navy's equipment, facilities, and personnel, which all are financed by taxpayer dollars.
If this video had not been made or shown on the shipboard tv system, what money would have been saved?
The equipment and facilities are already purchased. No new equipment was bought to make the video.
The personnel are on salary, so the pay is the same.
What money was spent exclusively on making the video??
So if government property is not specifically purchased for an unauthorized use, and salaried rather than hourly personnel are directed by a superior to use that equipment, no regulation is broken?
too funny.....mojo still hasn't backed up his claim about wasteful spending....
i'm right again
You are trying, again, to rephrase what I say.
I am not saying that no regulations were broken. But you made the claim that money was wasted. You have yet to make a case for that.
"Mismanagement: A collective term covering acts of waste and abuse. Extravagant, careless, or needless expenditure of Government funds or the consumption or misuse of Government property or resources, resulting from deficient practices, systems, controls, or decisions. Abuse of authority or similar actions that do not involve criminal fraud.
Waste: The extravagant careless, or needless expenditure of Government funds, or the consumption of Government property that results from deficient practices, systems, controls, or decisions. The term also includes improper practices not involving prosecutable fraud."

Any more questions?
"Waste: The extravagant careless, or needless expenditure of Government funds, or the consumption of Government property that results from deficient practices, systems, controls, or decisions."
Yes, I am still waiting to hear what money was wasted. There were no expenditures and nothing was consumed.
And I think I am also right about him being more upset about the content.
"There were no expenditures"...
There weren't?
"nothing was consumed"...
It wasn't?

No on both counts.
If you would care to name what expenditures were made specifically for this video?
Or perhaps you can tell me what was consumed?
You made the claim that there was no expenditure and no consumption of resources, so shouldn't you be able to back up your assertion?
While you're trying to think up a way to deflect that responsibilty, peruse this:

The link didn't work.
You made the claim that monies were wasted. I have claimed that digital video does not consume anything. The video is recorded, edited, and presented without having to consume film or permenantly record on anything.
All the equipment needed was already purchased, and was not used up or consumed.
I cannot prove what did not happen. I take it you cannot show that there were any expenditures specifically for this video, and that something was consumed?
