Teachers carrying guns? Okey dokey. Whatever you say; it's not like you're partisan or anything...
I have no heard of it happening very often, maybe you could site some examples? I would trust someone trained and hired to control themselves before arming teachers, just my thought on the matter.

Thanks, you just hear about them in most media sources. So, you believe arming teachers would be the best solution over hiring a cop or are you just wanting me to be aware of cops gone amuck?
STY, I was thinking more of them going "postal" and shooting everything in site, not corrupt cops who misuse their authority, I am well aware of those types.

the problem i have with people thinking that cops are 'trained to be in control' is that they really have no idea just how fallible they really are. why do you think that most of the time they have immunity from prosecution for overstepping their bounds?
As for teachers being more apt to go on a rampage than a cop would be....well that's just not true. a cop can go on a rampage just as easily and just as often as a teacher would, or a fireman, or a crosswalk monitor.
