CBO Warns Republicans That Repealing Health Law Would Increase Deficit By $455 Billion

The Congressional Budget Office is out with a new letter saying that while the health care law could reduce the projected budget deficit by $30 billion in 2020, repealing it would increase the deficit by an estimated $455 billion:

http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/118xx/doc11820/CrapoLtr.pdf

SO...........WHAT is the Republicans solution to increasing the deficit by an estimated $455 billion?

GOP RULES EXEMPT COSTS OF REPEALING HEALTH CARE -

House Republican rules for the 112th Congress exempt all sorts of tax cuts from any requirement that their deficit impact be offset -- including one they jarringly refer to as the "estate tax" (the wha??) -- but they specifically "exempt the budgetary effects of legislation repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010."

Well.... If they repeal the portion of Obamacare which isn't paid for until after the 10-year CBO window for calculation of cost, that should take care of it. Wow... that was easy!

The Repubs don't gave a damn about deficits. Every country with government medical results in lower costs. Every one. Not one exception.

The Repubs have absolutely nothing to back up their lying arguments.

that wouldn't result from repealing Obama care.....that would result from repealing the cuts to Medicare they imposed to pay for Obama care.....

wow....talk about fear mongering and taking politics to a new low

apparently we can't have a difference of opinion in america, if you have one different than bsbrn, you're a terrorist

but what is truly funny in his use of the word "insurgency" is that the term has usally been applied to those fighting against a foreign invader occupying their land

:D

It was Republican Pete Sessions who used the word 'insurgency'. Because We, the People elected a Democrat to the White House, and that is not to be tolerated by the right wing fascists. For the GOP fascists, the health care debate was never about crafting a bipartisan bill that would help the American people, it was about handing Obama his 'Waterloo'. It was about parroting Frank Luntz talking point LIES to blow up health care reform.

and its you and your fellow libs calling those you don't agree with TERRORISTS

you have effectively said fuck you to this country...you don't negotiate with terrorists, more often than not the only option is to kill them...do you even realize how low you've brought political discourse down in this country? we are all americans, but to dumbfuck far left hacks like you, those who don't agree with your political philosophy are TERRORISTS

that mentality will do more harm to this country than any foreign terrorists could dream of

The GOP doesn't really give a shit about the deficit. They use the deficit as a reason to adopt their preferred policies when it is convenient and ignore it otherwise.

...and to protect corporate profits at the expense of Americans.

do you actually support his discourse? calling your political opponents terrorists?

because your statement above pretty much says that, as you insult me and leave his comments unscathed....

thats pathetic nigel

No, I don't "support his discourse," but I think your response is pretty unhinged.

How ironic. The last time we heard a libtard here complain about the deficit was back when Bush was President.

The Republicons didn't hold the American unemployed people hostage to negotiate tax breaks for the wealthy? They're not only terrorists but traitors as well.

you once again prove what an extreme partisan hack you are

i need to take meds and my response is "unhinged" becaues i call him out on calling his political opponents terrorists....you of course do not call him out, do not think he needs his meds and don't think he is unhinged

you're a wacko dude, had you come in here and called him out, you could redeem yourself, you didn't, you came in here and attacked me, despite allegedly not supporting his discourse

you're as guilty as those who stand by and do nothing....pathetic nigel, truly pathetic

Meds, Yurt. Take your meds.

I reject and renounce Bfgrnedadmoentsbtser's statement that Republicans are terrorists.
