Assuming you could get a massive counter protest of liberals, lefty Christians, progressive churches, and progressive enlightened Americans down there at this little shin dig of bigotry, the television images would be totally awesome - they would show America at its best: i.e., a tiny handful of rightwing nut jobs being publicly and massively rejected by a massive counter protest of enlightened Americans. That’s an image I can be proud of: a nation where the government can’t stop you from being an idiot, but one in which your bigotry is soundly rejected and publicly mocked.
