Our Next Congress will be Draining Much of the Political Swamp

You keep screaming about the swamp like it’s some external monster,
No, he's talking about draining the swamp because it's an internal monster.
but you talk exactly like a creature that grew there.
Are Democrats nothing more than a creature? Interesting thought!
Every reply you make drips like something that’s been living under a porch too long, half‑wild, half‑wet, fully convinced it’s winning a fight no one else is having.
Lie. Denial. Draining the 'swamp' affects everyone in the United States and even beyond it's borders, Zombie.

Lie. Denial. Biden/Obama committed four acts of treason:
* Giving weapons and supplies to the enemy in time of war.
* Inviting invasion of the United States.
* Calling for civil war against citizens of the United States.
* Espionage.

He also violated Titles 6, 8, 18, and 52 of the USC.

Mayorkas has also committed treason, by inviting invasion of the United States, Zombie.

✅ Did Biden or Obama commit “four acts of treason”?

No. None of the claims listed meet the legal definition of treason under U.S. law.

What treason actually is (U.S. Constitution, Article III):

Treason is only:

  • Levying war against the United States, or
  • Giving aid and comfort to the enemy in a declared war.
Courts interpret this extremely narrowly.Political disagreements, immigration policy, foreign policy, or rhetoric do not qualify.

Now the claims:

“Giving weapons and supplies to the enemy in time of war.”

There is no declared war, and no evidence Biden or Obama armed an enemy of the U.S.Foreign aid, even controversial aid, is not treason.

“Inviting invasion of the United States.”

Immigration policy — even if someone hates it — is not treason. Courts have repeatedly ruled that immigration enforcement choices are policy disputes, not crimes.

“Calling for civil war against citizens.”

There is no evidence Biden or Obama ever called for civil war. This is political rhetoric, not a factual claim.

“Espionage.”

There is no evidence either committed espionage. No charges. No investigations. No indictments.

“Violating Titles 6, 8, 18, and 52 of the USC.”

These are broad criminal and administrative codes. No court has found Biden or Obama in violation of them.

Mayorkas “committed treason by inviting invasion.”

Again: immigration policy ≠ treason. Congress impeached him on policy grounds, and the Senate acquitted him.

You posting a dog killing a snake as proof of what’s happening to a political party is wild. That’s not analysis, that’s you pointing at wildlife and hoping symbolism will do the heavy lifting your argument can’t. If your evidence is a pet doing pest control, you’re not predicting the future, you’re narrating a nature clip.
Go learn what 'simile' means, Zombie.

No, he's talking about draining the swamp because it's an internal monster.

Lie. Denial. Draining the 'swamp' affects everyone in the United States and even beyond it's borders, Zombie.
calling it affecting everyone doesn’t make your rant relevant, it just means your confusion has a bigger blast radius than your argument ever did.

As of April 2026, 43% of registered voters have declared a party affiliation—39.2 million Republicans and 45.4 million Democrats.

The Democrats certainly have a majority of the people who have declared a party affiliation. People who are unaffiliated (as I am) and those who are registered in minority parties are the majority...which I consider to be just great.

You are searching for shit to spew, TA. It doesn't look great. In fact, I looks like bullshit. Why not clean up your act? You are more than intelligent enough to do so.
Argument from randU fallacy. Random numbers aren't data, Doofan.
Did Biden or Obama commit “four acts of treason”? ...deleted remaining AI slop...
Yes, Zombie. I've already listed them.

Could be.

I doubt it will lead to more than two parties in our present system, though. Although I would welcome a complete change to a parliamentary system...with many parties contending rather than just two.
I think that'd be a very bad idea. The parliamentary system gave Germany Hitler. It has produced numerous extremist leaders in a number of nations simply because it can allow a small minority party the potential to become the leadership in a coalition. The US system is hardly perfect, but it does generally prevent that sort of thing from happening.

My suspicion is that it will lead to one or more of the following:

1. One or both parties being forced to adopt a more broadly accepted set of political views.
2. One of the two existing big parties becoming a minority party and replaced by something else, say like the Whig party.
3. Major civil unrest with a serious political reset coming out of it.
Could be. I am just about convinced that unless we do something to "make things fairer" we will have Door #3 in a way that will be as far reaching as The French or Russian Revolutions.

Perhaps...but perhaps our system is not actually preventing that sort of thing. Many of the concerns your side had about former president Obama and this side has about Trump...were/are motivated by fear that "our system" can be corrupted.

In any case, I would like to see the system changed for the better...however that can reasonably be imagined and reasonably be implemented. I am not a genius and I am not pretending I know what is better/possible...I am merely expressing a hope for America which ultimately is a hope for humanity.

To make things "fairer" get some of the goddamned government out of the picture. Government IS NOT the solution. It IS the problem. Look at blue states with lots and lots of government. People are fleeing them. Industry is leaving. It isn't working. Both the French and Russian revolutions took place because government was seen as oppressive.

The US thrived with limited federal and state government. Government is the problem.

I hope Reagan is looking up at us and regretting that comment. GOVERNMENT, TA, IS THE ONLY REASON WE HAVE CIVILIZATION. It is not the problem.

Look at blue states with lots and lots of government.

Right now America is in Red hands...and they could not be fucking up the country any more if that was their aim.

I am hoping that is not their aim...but I am not convinced it is not.

Oh, horseshit. Both the French and Russian revolutions were the product of wealth disparity that had gotten out of hand. Both were monarchies...which essentially is what our country is fast becoming under its Red influence. That is what conservatives seem to want...a monarchy.

They may get it, because if they win...THEY LOSE...as do we all.
The US thrived with limited federal and state government. Government is the problem.
The US thrived because it had an entire continent to use as it willed.

Government is not the problem. The American Right is the problem. People like you are the problem, TA. I hope someday you finally realize that.

That is a sweeping generality. If it were blank true, then absolute dictatorships would work great. N. Korea would be far richer and its people better off to take an extreme example.

I see the Left as the problem. People and business aren't fleeing red states, they're flocking to them. Blue states with massive government, lots of regulation, high taxes, and generally intrusive and oppressive government are seeing their economies slowly collapse.

The monarchy was exactly what caused the wealth disparity. That disparity didn't happen on its own. Oppressive, heavy handed, controlling government was the issue. The same thing was true of the Soviet Union. China shifted to fascism from communism to give people at least some control over the economy.

No, the US thrived because people could do largely as they pleased. Land was available for anyone to own. What and how you produced wasn't strangled by regulations.

Government is the problem and the Left are the ones that will fuck you because history shows that is ALWAYS the case. The Left will strangle the life out of a society and economy with their 'Dictatorship of Virtue.'

🟥

“If government were the problem, dictatorships would work great. North Korea would be rich.”

Fact check:

This is a false equivalence.

Authoritarian states fail not because “government exists,” but because:

  • They suppress markets
  • They suppress information
  • They suppress innovation
  • They suppress mobility
  • They suppress accountability
Economic research:

  • North Korea’s GDP per capita is ~$1,300 (World Bank estimates).
  • South Korea’s is ~$33,000.The divergence is due to institutions, not “amount of government.”
Correct principle: It’s not “government vs. no government.”It’s effective institutions vs. extractive institutions (Acemoglu & Robinson, Why Nations Fail).

🟥

“People and businesses are fleeing blue states and flocking to red states.”

Fact check:

Partially true, but oversimplified.

Population trends (Census Bureau):

  • California, New York, Illinois → net outflow
  • Texas, Florida → net inflow
But:

  • Many “red” states (Mississippi, Louisiana, West Virginia) are losing population.
  • Many “blue” states (Washington, Colorado, Massachusetts) are gaining population.
Drivers identified by economists:

  • Housing costs
  • Climate
  • Job opportunities
  • Remote work
  • Tax structure (a factor, but not the only one)
Conclusion: Migration is multifactor, not a simple “red good, blue bad.”

🟥

“Monarchy caused wealth disparity. Heavy-handed government was the issue.”

Fact check:

Historically accurate in part, but incomplete.

Monarchies did create extractive systems — feudalism, aristocratic land monopolies, mercantilist monopolies.

But:

  • Some monarchies (UK, Netherlands) transitioned into constitutional systems and became wealthy.
  • Some non-monarchies (Somalia, Haiti) remained poor due to weak institutions.
Conclusion: Wealth disparity correlates with institutional design, not monarchy alone.

🟥

“The Soviet Union collapsed because of oppressive government.”

Fact check:

Partially true, but simplistic.

Mainstream scholarship cites:

  • Central planning inefficiency
  • Low productivity
  • Arms race spending
  • Political stagnation
  • Lack of innovation incentives
Oppression contributed, but economic structure was the primary failure.

🟥

“China shifted to fascism from communism.”

Fact check:

Incorrect.

China shifted to state capitalism, not fascism.Key features:

  • Market reforms (Deng Xiaoping)
  • Private enterprise allowed
  • State-owned enterprises remain dominant
  • One-party authoritarian rule continues
Political scientists classify China as:

  • “Authoritarian capitalist”
  • “State capitalist”
  • “Leninist market economy”
Not fascist.

🟥

“The US thrived because people could do as they pleased. No regulations.”

Fact check:

Historically false.

The U.S. economic rise (1865–1945) included:

  • Massive federal land programs (Homestead Act)
  • Massive federal infrastructure (railroad subsidies)
  • Massive federal tariffs (avg. 40–50%)
  • Massive federal banking regulation (National Banking Acts)
  • Massive federal industrial policy (WWII mobilization)
The “no regulation frontier paradise” is a mythologized version of U.S. history.

🟥

“Government is the problem and the Left will strangle society.”

Fact check:

This is ideological rhetoric, not a factual claim.

There is no historical dataset showing:

  • “Left governments always destroy economies”
  • “Right governments always grow economies”
Examples contradicting the claim:

  • Scandinavian countries (left‑leaning) → high GDP, high quality of life
  • Pinochet’s Chile (right‑wing authoritarian) → severe inequality, economic volatility
  • Postwar U.S. (high taxes, strong unions) → fastest growth in U.S. history
This is political framing, not evidence.

🧠 Bias Analysis

T.A. Gardner’s argument uses:

  • Cherry-picking (selecting only blue states that are struggling)
  • False dichotomy (“government good” vs. “government bad”)
  • Historical oversimplification
  • Ideological projection (“Left always destroys society”)
  • Mythologized U.S. history
  • Incorrect political science terminology (“China = fascist”)
It’s not an evidence-based argument — it’s a narrative.

What on Earth do you see as the logic in that?

TA...stop digging. You are more than deep enough.

The monarchy was exactly what caused the wealth disparity. That disparity didn't happen on its own. Oppressive, heavy handed, controlling government was the issue. The same thing was true of the Soviet Union. China shifted to fascism from communism to give people at least some control over the economy.

Okay, you think government is the problem. So...go live an anarchy.

Are there any...or is every nation governed?
No, the US thrived because people could do largely as they pleased. Land was available for anyone to own. What and how you produced wasn't strangled by regulations.

Baloney.
Government is the problem and the Left are the ones that will fuck you because history shows that is ALWAYS the case. The Left will strangle the life out of a society and economy with their 'Dictatorship of Virtue.'
In my opinion, the American right and people like you, are the true enemies of a decent nation.

You cannot see it, but live on...and be content.
