Seriously you Conservatives are going to make a wedge issue out of this Mosque in New York, when if you consider it, you agree with the President on the issue.....

How many of you would have the president of the United States do anything other than Defend the Constitution of the United States?


This is the kinda shit that pisses me off about the Conservative party, using religion as a wedge and patriotism as a bludgeon.

You are making fun of those dumb enough to follow you on the issue.

It makes me very down about the lows some are willling to stoop to for policital power.
 
God and Country are two of the most important things to me, and in this move the Republicans are making a mockery of both...
 
Those people making negative nise about this issue are misguided, but harmless.

They keep calling it a mosque, when it is a community center with only a portion dedicated to Islam.
 
They are not harmless, this type of abuse of the ignorant is how GWB got elected president of the USA.
 
THe biggest wedge of the Bush era has become a reality and America has not fallen appart... Gay Marriage...

I asked a simple (if smartass) question. The only way to stop the building of the community center is to ignore parts of the US Constitution. I am only asking that you let us know which parts are important enough to be kept inviolate and which parts are disposable when you are angry or scared.

How many times do I have to bludgeon Democrats over the head with past wedge issues before they stop condecendingly referring to contemporary social issues as "wedge issues?"

Yeah, gay marriage is way up there in importance for conservatives and independents. But Jarod can keep hoping.

See I put the 'loons from the right'-those that would go with amendments on gay marriage or abortion on the same plane as the 'loony left' that are avoiding the differences between illegal aliens and immigration or the right of the mosque to be built as a property rights issue, while ignoring the fact that Kelo has become the law of the land. They applaud Bloomberg's remarks about property rights, ignoring how often he's invoked imminent domain for commercial reasons.

Yeah, Kelo basically allows government to confiscate property at any time, in any place, for any reason, and no questions asked. Its the manifestation of what Neal Boortz ranted about on the radio for years before the city of Gay New London swipped low income property and sold it off to commercial interest.

the problem with hacks like you are that you attribute something to an entire party...because of what some republicans believe in...

i support the mosque being built, however, i also support those who do not want it to be built....it is not about ignoring the constitution per se....it is about living with neighbors and the pain and tragedy of 9/11
