So you claim someone poses an "existential" threat to democracy but are worried about fighting that threat lawfully even though your claim is that democracy would cease to exist if that threat took over. Wouldn't the end of democracy be a good enough reason to do whatever was necessary to prevent that? Or again are you people just lying or cowards?

Harris? No, she wasn't. At least not against Joe Biden. When he withdrew after the Debate debacle, she became the primary nominee.

IMO, the Democrats really fucked themselves in 2024 by letting Biden break his one-term promise leaving only the nutjobs Marianne Williamson and RFK Jr. as the major contenders.

I don't know if Democrats, nationally were ever "extreme". Obama was pretty centrist as was Clinton. It took a "slip up" from Biden when he was VP to even get Obama to lead the nation to the equal marriage act - can't remember exactly what it was called, but it legalized gay marriage nationally, which the trumptards still lobby against.

Nobody can predict the future with 100% accuracy.

We on the left understand that employing illegal, unconstitutional and dictatorial methods to stop even a threat like trump, would a) put us on the same level as and make us no better than MAGA and b) be equally as destructive to the very democracy we want to save, as allowing trump to hold office for the prescribed period of time, while having faith and hope that the protections built into our system of government will hold up against his non-stop onslaught of tyranny, and that there will be enough sane Republicans on the other side to stand with us in blocking any outrageous attempts by MAGA to forcefully take permanent control of our democratic government and turning it into the kind of iron-fisted, dictatorial, white supremacist, autocratic theocracy they dream of achieving under trump almighty.

Truly baffling how MAGA cultists are just too blinded by bigotry and hate to see something that's so obvious to normal people.

Stop hiding behind the Constitution. If trump was a real and imminent threat to democracy like you claimed for four years, inaction on your part would have destroyed democracy and the Constitution so any action in defense of democracy and the Constitution that would have been morally just if not legal. But you did nothing and now seek protection from the very document and process that you claim trump was going to destroy. You people have no integrity whatsoever.
