I continue to argue that because people continue to argue there is too much government regulation. Obviously there is not enough government regulation.
You're an idiot! We have MILLIONS of pages of legislative regulations now! And you want to pass MORE? What the fuck is the matter with you, moron? Every time the government establishes a new regulation, it costs some business money to implement it! Are you not comprehending that? The more regulations and mandates we pass, the more money it costs the business to comply! Foreign countries are beating our brains out because they can produce and manufacture things MUCH cheaper, because their businesses don't have a MOUNTAIN of fucking governmental regulations to have to pay for! Now, I know in your little pinhead mind, you believe businesses and corporations just have all kinds of squirreled away profits they don't need, and they can just tap into those resources to pay for any new regulations, but that is an ignorant and uninformed idea of how business works. EVERY regulation and cost you pass on to business, is thereby passed on to the consumer in the form of a higher priced product. Let's remember, the PROBLEM is, we can't manufacture things as cheap as other countries! One of the mitigating factors of cost, is the regulations. You're a fucking brain-dead moron if you think we don't have enough!!!
The main reason jobs are moving overseas is because of lower wages. It's going to take time for things to balance out but there's no choice. We are in a global economy. Those who work in industries that produce every day consumer goods need help. Let's all help out.
Let's be clear, things will NEVER "balance out" with regard to wages. People in China work for what is the equivalent of pennies a day, and we have no ability to stop them from doing that! We can't "regulate" Chinese corporations! Indeed, we ARE in a global economy, and there are things the more educated masses in America can do with skilled labor, than many other countries out there who compete with lower wages. But in order to make American labor viable, we have to be smart and do smart things. You are not a smart person, as evidenced in almost everything you post. To get to where we need to be, we need to DEREGULATE... take some of this expensive burden off the backs of industry, so they MAY be able to compete. We need to LOWER their taxes, or eliminate them altogether! Again, to cut the expenses as much as possible, and enable the company to make more profit by staying in the US and not sending the jobs overseas. And we need to do something about collective bargaining agreements for union labor, it's gotten WAY outta hand, and it is stifling the manufacturing sector's ability to make a reasonable profit. All of these things have to be done if we ever hope to see our jobs return, there is no other way to get there... we sure as FUCK don't get there by paying people to do goddamn volunteer work, you idiot!
If you think the mortgages in the US resulted in the near global collapse you are terribly misguided. Yes, financial institutions were encouraged to loan money. The problem is the financial institutions didn't have sufficient money from depositors so they tried to generate funds through questionable investments. The problem was banks become little more than gambling companies.
I don't THINK it, I KNOW it! The problems started with the collapse of Freddy and Fanny, and that was a direct result of DEMOCRATS mandating they make loans to people who couldn't afford them. There was no questionable investments, they were MANDATED by THE GOVERNMENT to make loans to low income applicants who couldn't repay the loans and defaulted.
I used volunteering as an example. The point is doing ANYTHING is better than having citizens subsidize a job that someone else can do cheaper. It's a waste of people's time and money.
I agree, I don't want my tax dollars being spent to subsidize ANYTHING! And it's simply not always better to "do ANYTHING" ...sometimes, it's better to DO NOTHING! Sometimes, it's better to get government the fuck out of the way, and let capitalist free market systems work like they are supposed to!
Nonsense. People go into business to make money. They will cut corners, try to sell inferior products, ignore safety measures, etc. The government has to watch them.
We know that happens. That's why safety boards and government inspections of food plants came about. Regulations weren't there in the beginning. They came into being precisely because people couldn't be trusted to do what was right.
Where did I say that we shouldn't have any oversight on business and industry, and we should just let them do whatever the fuck they please? I'm sorry, but you have misinterpreted me grossly. I think we can have oversight without regulating them out of fucking business.
Yes, people DO go into business to make money, but in America, you have to pay this regulatory fee and that tax, you have to jump through this regulatory hoop and comply with that mandate, and it fucking never ends! Every time you think you've about got it figured out how to make money, here comes the government along (with your blessings) to zap you again with another tax, fee, or regulatory burden. On top of that, labor unions are organizing your workers, so they can demand a larger slice of the pie for themselves. And this is all why people who really want to make money, go to another country and start their business! We've unionized, taxed, and regulated ourselves out of the market, it's no longer attractive to someone who want to MAKE MONEY!
It's pathetic to hear all the whining about the "poor" entrepreneur/small businessman. They're treated like they're all a Mother Theresa when the reality is they're there to get as much money as possible, any way they can.
Well you know what, fuckwad... THOSE are the people who create 90% of the jobs! Until you decide to declare a ceasefire in your little WAR against them, don't expect the jobs to come back! Yeah, you might as well go ahead with your idiotic plan to have us all work for the state at the homeless shelter, we'll NEVER see the jobs return to America with your philosophy!
Maybe when "frontier justice" was in vogue a businessman could be trusted to be honest and reputable. Sell a faulty product or try try to swindle someone and people came looking for you.
Now it's grab what you can, keep the ill-gotten booty, declare bankruptcy and apply for another government grant to start over. It that what you meant by one being able to "reach their full potential"?
Listen to your rant, moron! Just sit back and listen to your rant! You are so vitriolic against capitalism it is seeping from your pores as you type! You just can't stand that someone might make a profit in America. It doesn't seem to dawn on you, the people who make profit in America, are the ones providing all the jobs, which provide all the tax revenues! You want to repeatedly attack business and industry and hobble them in any way you can, while idiotically being puzzled as to why there are no jobs being created! It's absolutely stunning.
