If they can’t get a GJ to indict, (very low standard, and no defense), how are they going to get a unanimous jury, with a defense attorney to convict?
What’s your opinion about the situation? Is it “lawfare”?

They got the GJ to indict her once they will do it again. I suspect this particular GJ had too many Black jurors and they had jury nullification going on. There is black and white evidence that has her signature on it where she lied on the bank loan paper. In fact she has a history of making false statements on loan papers .

I know that lawyers and prosecutors can be sanctioned by judges for bringing frivolous or baseless lawsuits. But I'm not sure if the unindicted defendants have any protections or recourse. @Jarod, do you know anything about this?

Yes, there is a remedy in the form of a claim of "malicious prosecution". Not an easy path but Trump's search for vengeance may be opening the way.

Trump's on record as saying he's going after people who "wronged" him in the past. No doubt there are multiple people who he's said even more damning things to who will turn on him. His big mouth is one of his biggest problems.

I don’t know of any recourse, they can be sued for “vindictive prosecution”, but it’s a very difficult standard. Failure to get an indictment is unlikely to succeed, especially technically it doesn’t cost her any necessary attorneys fees.
