If Capitalism cannot provide it, then socialism needs to. I think capitalism did provide it...but anything you hate (which seems to be most of your world)...is socialism.

Frankly, I think a healthy dose of socialistic influence is something that could help capitalism reach its potential. It isn't doing that presently.

Trump never implemented his plan...because there was no plan. If he plan did what he said his plan would do...IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IMPLIMENTED. It was supposed to cover more people with more benefits and at a lower cost. Only the MAGA morons thought that was so.

It was supposed to increase choice in health insurance policy options, and instead it reduced them to nearly zero.
It was supposed to decrease health insurance costs but instead saw the total cost per bill shoot up astronomically.
It was supposed to provide universal coverage using the tax penalty as a level to force people to buy in but instead created a situation where people who couldn't afford a policy or didn't want one to find ways to evade paying the penalty or they just ate that cost.
It encouraged those on Obamacare to overuse the healthcare system creating far large payouts by insurers they hadn't planned for. Those drove costs up.

Almost everyone that didn't have prior health insurance that got it under Obamacare was through expanded Medicaid. That is, the hidden socialism in the Obamacare plan.

Boy, I grew up from 1936 on...when every American knew that their children would live a better life than they did. Until Reagan came along in 1980...the country and its economy was run most by Democrats and left of center folk.

Then the American conservatives came along and fucked up everything.

Nobody but the ignorant think their kids are going to live a better life in the future right now.
