At least somebody knows who Br'er Rabbit is.

I've read real history. One of my ancestors started a Cavalry unit that was later absorbed into the Union Army, so it's not like I have any family who fought for the South; I just prefer real history to ideological rubbish. The South shot itself in the foot because of their slave economy discouraging white immigration and the mindless pursuit of laissez faire, which is why they lost the war; they never invested anything in other enterprises, their capital followed the highest returns, so they never invested anything in ship building, ironworks, or railroads.

They pointed out that Jews fared far better than most ever did as a people, and virtually all their problems were self-inflicted, same with every other peoples on the planet; they were self-isolating arrogant snobs who thought themselves a 'master race'. Not until their own 'min-Enlightenment' in the late 18th and early 19th centuries did they become the great movers of science and secular literature they have been the last 300 years or so, and are no more special than any other families who emphasized education and literacy among its children.

Here is reality. The fascist left is concentrated in a few very large cities. Communists rule Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, New York. But outside of these urban hell holes the nation belongs to the Americans. The split may not be North and South - but it is well defined. Urban vs Suburban / Rural

While the number of people on each side is pretty evenly split, the rest is not. We the Americans have 90% of the guns, 90% of the ammunition, and we are the ones who know how to use them. We are the hunters and the sportsmen. But that's not what will end you fascists. You are concentrated in cities and depend on us to ship in your food, your water, your power. The first thing we are going to do is cut that off. We won't invade you cities, no need. We'll just starve you out.

The democrats wanted war. Lincoln and the Republicans did not. That is historical fact as we all know. The attack on Sumpter alone shows that the democrats were itching for war.

When you intersperse "Laissez Faire" and "Slave Economy" you lose credibility. A free market cannot forcibly enslave anyone.

The South was run by a small group of Oligarchs - George Soros, Tim Cook types of their day. Like the democrat Oligarchs of today, the government served the will of the Oligarchs then. It was a Feudal system, not Capitalist.

My grandparents were also conservative Jews. FDR betrayed Jews fleeing Germany and they never would have anything to do with his party.
