I am new but not new?

I went to Patton Junior High one year and then Leavenworth Senior High. Good times.

You and I can agree to disagree on that point, but it depends upon how one defines "worst we've seen". Divisive? Constitutional violations? Abuse of office? Weakening our nation in the case of our enemies? I believe Trump tops all Presidents in all the categories.

Other Presidents have been corrupt, but I can't name a single one who weakened the United States against our enemies much less flagrantly violated our Constitution and his oath of office.
I was raised to believe in our elections — that they’re decided by the people. I might not always like how it turns out, but that’s the deal. The vote stands. That’s how we do it in this country.

Trump got seventy-seven million votes and won. My opinion doesn’t change that — the people spoke. If we don’t like it — you, me, or anybody — then we show up next time and vote again. That’s the process.

We don’t fix things by shouting or tearing each other apart. We do it at the ballot box. Whether the guy’s a saint or a scoundrel, if the people put him there, then that’s the will of the majority — and that’s called democracy.

And while I’m at it — I don’t think this election, or the last one, or the one before it, or the one before that was rigged. That’s just BS.

What is your first impression of this place?

Almost no one ever sticks around.

Agreed on respecting the process and that Trump's lies about the election being rigged are bullshit. OTOH, it seems pretty clear he's trying to rig the Midterms.

He is going to have a hard row to hoe trying to swing the congressional and 33 senate seats if he even does. To many states and people watching the ballot boxes. The numbers will come through. May have to double and triple count but they'll come through. That being said not sure how he could pull it off anyway. I think he's going to want to call it a day in three more years. His age will take control soon. That's nothing personal just a fact.

He's making a lot of weird moves. I'm curious how far is too far for the MAGAt Congress. What would it take before they enact the 25th Amendment?

He is trying to get American to see lots of military people in full military gear on the streets...as a usual thing. That way, when election days come along, they will be okay with that kind of intimidation being standard.

We'll see how things work out. Like Evan and you...I see the election results as the boss. Trump, scum that I consider him to be, IS MY PRESIDENT AS WELL AS THE PRESIDENT OF EVERY OTHER AMERICAN CITIZEN.

Cannot wait for that to change.

There are worst offenders such as @Truth Detector, @Into the Night, @Lionfish and others when it comes to repeated trolling and meme posting.
The new member will see right through your delusional nonsense, the exact kind of brain-dead drivel they're fleeing. Real debate? Worthwhile discussion? That requires thinking people, which counts you and your hive-mind cronies out. One glance at the "debates" on Bluesky mirrors the same tired, radicalized libtard garbage you drones churn out. Predictable clickbait-posting robots, every last one of you.

So @Evan Keal , the only exchange of ideas you'll find here requires thinking people which unfortunately rules out the left, they've lost all traces of common sense, decency, and love of America. That said, I've had some very good debates with like minded people that have their own thoughts that are not always shared by myself which of course is normal and healthy. Good luck!

My guess is that a lot of people will get shot well before election day. Trump wants to use the Insurrection Act and that requires violence in the streets so he's keeps trying to incite violence. When he gets it, he'll use the Act and that will result in more violence and the mowing down of dozens of Americans. After that, it will be up to every patriotic American to take down as many MAGAts as they can.

Start planning now. Note the local raging Trump Traitors with flags, banners and posters in their yards and Trump stickers on their vehicles. I suspect some will be taken down by their own families with a drug overdose. Fentanyl is cheap in the cities and, according to Fox News, can be found in local parks and malls. In the end, it'll be a lot of dead, useless POS who have been dragging down our Republic and destroying our Constitution.

I don't know if anything of substance will change much until a party switch has taken place. This present administration is fairly well entrenched in their backing Trump to the hilt, so I doubt any ousting will take place before the midterms, but stranger things have happened.

Regardless of if the military is there or not I will still vote my conscience.

If Trump instigates a Kent State style massacre in a Blue City, I suspect a lot of this shit will stop.

It's what he wants, it's what he's driving towards and the MAGAt Congress isn't getting in his way....for now. When there's dozens of dead American men, women and children laying bleeding out in the streets, that's when a substantive change will occur in Washington, DC. If not, then I predict a lot of dead MAGAts all across America. LOL

It is my sincerest hope that no one gets hurt and that all transitions, elections, debates and rally's and so forth are peaceful regardless of political affiliations and ideologies. Violence is horrid and ghastly. I do not condone any form of violence against anyone.

Judging from his posts, he hopes there is another civil war. He wants to make shooting Trump supporters a national pastime.
Of course, he will hide like the coward he is.

Me too, but neither you nor I are in charge. Donald Trump is in charge and the MAGAt Congress is backing him...for now. The red line is shooting down American citizens. It will be the catharsis that marks the beginning of the end of the White Nationalist movement in America.

Talking about Americans killing each other — that’s not the answer, and it’s not healthy. That kind of rage doesn’t fix anything; it just burns us up inside.

We’ve all seen hard times in this country — shootings, riots, wars, presidents that drove us nuts — but we’re still here. We keep going because most people, deep down, still care about their families, their neighbors, and their country. That’s the part that really matters.

I’m not defending any politician. I just don’t want to see good people lose themselves in hate. This country’s bigger than Trump or Biden or any of them. It’s made up of folks like you and me who still get up, go to work, help each other out, and keep believing tomorrow can be better.

So yeah, be mad, speak your mind — but don’t let that anger own you. That’s how we lose ourselves.
