Yes, thank you for confirming what I said. He spoke about a vague future on a podcast. Then ABC chose the "salt the fields" option. No government action was taken, nobody has been arrested, nobody is being prosecuted... nada. He did not "suggest" for them to cancel. That's made up nonsense on your part. He (paraphrasing, not quoting) something like, "we may have to think about doing something if they keep letting him lie on the air"....

If you do not like the decision that ABC made, you need to talk to ABC.

The distributor (station owners) in this instance need FTC approval to get a massive merger thru they are working on right now and they need Carr and his FTC to allow it.

As i said i am all for this 'vague pressure', where FTC chairmans can say to companies in the midst of merger or license renewal talks, that 'do not take this as any thing other than a vague comment on the future and when i need to rule on your merger or license. You can fire Kimmel and we can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way'.

That type of 'vague future talk' being ok with you Damocles is even more OK with me. Carr leveled a clear and undenyable threat that the Media companies could take action against Kimmel and we could do this the easy way and if not they would do this the hard way with the FTC utilizing "remedies" they had to make this the 'hard way'.



BTW did you take offense prior talk about the left 'cancelling comedians' and what about Trump and magats saying they 'were bringing comedy back again and freeing it up for free speech again'? What was your views on that?
