Radical Leftist Jasmine Crockett says police aren't there to prevent crime

Yep, Jasmine Crockett, representative retard of the Democrat party says police aren't there to protect you or prevent crime. Their job is to investigate crimes that have occurred and bring the person that committed them to justice.

Nice to know she thinks your life isn't worth anything and that if you are murdered, like a certain Ukranian refugee recently was, that you--Your now deceased corpse--will find comfort in knowing the police might do something to arrest your murderer...

She's a walking poster child for why you shouldn't vote Democrat.

Felony for one.
I've addressed that elsewhere in the last few days here. Bragg's case was a complete fiction and twisting of NY law into a pretzel.

Unless the U.S. Supreme Court intervenes, President-elect Donald Trump will be sentenced on Friday for falsifying business records to cover up his 2016 hush payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. But although a New York jury convicted Trump of 34 felonies in that case last May, Judge Juan Merchan has indicated that he plans to impose "a sentence of unconditional discharge," meaning Trump will face neither jail nor probation. Which makes you wonder: What was the point of prosecuting this case?

The point, it seems clear, was to undermine Trump's prospects in the 2024 election by tarring him as a convicted felon—a status that Democrats emphasized while vainly trying to turn voters against him. But deploying that label required a dubious legal theory that aimed to punish Trump for conduct that was not inherently criminal.

Merchan all but tossed Bragg's case out of court. By granting unconditional discharge, he essentially admitted Bragg had nothing regardless of the verdict rendered. Merchan was in full CYA mode in rendering that verdict. The case still has to go to appeal where it's likely Bragg will lose bigtime.

Oh, man! She is so beautiful! Such a pleasure to get to look at her mug, rather than the gorilla face of MTG or Lauren Boobert.

Also AOC? So lovely! It's such a treasure to have beautiful politicians who act responsibly to better the lives of their constituents for once, amirite?

Got any examples of why? I gave an example.
Well, lets compare to your idol, MTG:

Passed law school and had an accomplished career? Crockett - Yes. MTG - no, she was a adulterous CrossFit rat. AOC? She tended bar like a normal person. Bobert? Callgirl and gives handys to strangers in public and gets booted.

Quite a classy group you got there, TA. Well done!

You've addressed and got owned every time you do as Bragg's case was absolutely proper and no amount of spin will undue Trumps felony convictions.

Whataboutism.

They've already been undone except for the paperwork. By giving Trump "unconditional discharge" Merchan in effect said, "I find you guilty, but there'll be no fine, no penalty, no jail time. On your way, have a nice day!"

If Trump truly were guilty of 34 felonies you'd think the presiding judge would sentence him to prison time and restitution of those who were the victims of his crimes.

How many examples do you want?

Congress passed a law banning Tik Tok. The Supreme COurt ruled upholding that law.

Trump took power and said 'fuck your laws... Tik Tok stays and gets to thrive in America' after one meeting with a wealthy Tik Tok shareholder when Trump was prior one of the loudest voices saying Tik Tok needs to go.

Wrong and stupid and lies.

Trumps guilt is affirmed and not being undone. that "paperwork" affirming Trump is a convicted fraudster is what matters.

but as a sitting POTUS cannot be sentenced without the SC getting involved and likely undoing it Merchan made a pragmatic choice.

Why did Congress want to ban Tik Tok? Maybe because it is a Chinese company with deep ties to the Communist party in China? That's a pretty good reason to ban Tik Tok.

Did Merchan rule "Unconditional discharge" or not?

So, all of the appeals have been run through on this?

Why didn't Merchan stay his ruling until Trump leaves office?

Right you are correct and Trump as POTUS broke the law passed by Congress and affirmed by the SC.

Who exactly is in charge of US foreign policy?

What company is Tik Tok (at that time) headquartered in?

Was, at that time, Tik Tok a foreign corporation?

Did Trump claim banning Tik Tok was a "national security issue?" or not?

Did Biden sign legislation demanding Tik Tok divest from its Chinese parent company ByteDance?

If there was such a law passed, did Tik Tok divest or not?

irrelevant.

Whether you get a life sentence or an unconditional discharge has ZERO IMPACT on the judgement issued by the jury.

The sentencing is a separate and distinct part that happens AFTER the finding is rendered and has ZERO IMPACT on the finding that was rendered.

Many convicted people get unconditional discharges for varied reasons after a guilty verdict.

Trump is a felon and nothing changed that.

And the reason giving as to why Merchan did not and would not stay his ruling until Trump left office is because the SC would almost certainly dismiss it. The idea of a sitting active POTUS being under the gun of the Courts knowing he has a judge waiting to assign punishment to him when his 4 years concludes is something that could create massive conflict between the Executive and the Judiciary branches.

Does not matter.

The Congress passed a law banning Tik Tok in the US and the SC affirmed it.

Trump then said he would ignore the law and allow them to continue to operate. He broke the law.

No, he demanded ByteDance divest like NOW! or face shutdown. ByteDance divested and Tik Tok continued as a separate company.

Trump gave ByteDance some extra time to divest:

TikTok received a lifeline this week from President Trump, who issued an executive order delaying enforcement of a national ban by 75 days while China-based ByteDance seeks an American buyer.

President-elect Donald Trump has urged the Supreme Court to block a law that would force the popular social media app TikTok to be sold or shut down. In a legal filing Friday night, Trump told the justices that a delay would allow his administration to “negotiate a resolution to save the platform while addressing national security concerns.”

Trump did argue to give Tik Tok some extra time to divest and in the end, it was divested.
