Good strategy. If you paste a lot of words, maybe people will forget that Bush was slow to respond while people were stranded in the streets, and was responsible for a horse trainer buddy heading up FEMA.

And it illustrates another paradox amongst conservatives: they make a big show of wanting to cut the fed gov't & keep the feds out of private business, but as soon as something happens that private business clearly is helpless to control, it's all about "where the heck are the feds?"

Hey asshole- the feds took money from BP via taxes to come up with a contingency plan and equipment, and when the time comes to use it they are absent.

The federal government did not have a single fire boom on hand as they are required to have in case of emergencies such as this. Pathetic.

So was Obama on television saying that the person whose job it was to have these booms ready was doing a "heck of a job"?
 
THis might make more sense had just prior to Katrina hitting the Democrats had run an election with the chant, "Hurricane, Baby, Hurricane!"
 
well the feds should have more industry experts, then they wouldn't look like bafoons saying we're going to have to rely on industy for the expertise to clean and stop the oil.

dems have no out on this if they bashed Obama on Katrina
