People were fired and reassigned, but ONLY because it was a federal judge. Imagine how many times that happened to people with no pull that just had to put up with it?

That is the type of situation I would think would occur more frequently. I understand what Damo is saying, but as we all know, in 'hot spots' such as AZ where cops have to deal with illegal immigrants more frequently, the cops are likely more predispositioned (whether consciously or subconsciously) to target hispanics.

You and I had no choice what race we were born and those achievements made by people that look like you or I are not ours and we have no business feeling pride in any of them because of what color our skin is.

Why do people confuse government medical with insurance company medical plans? With an insurance company medical plan a person is covered for only specific treatments regardless of what the doctor feels is necessary. One may require a specific treatment but if their policy does not cover that the insurance company does not pay.

Government insurance or universal medical or single payer systems do not operate like that. Everyone has the same "policy". The government does not decide on who will get what operation. That decision is the patient's and the doctor's to make.

I wish folks could understand the fundamental difference. :(

Why do people confuse government medical with insurance company medical plans? With an insurance company medical plan a person is covered for specific treatments regardless of what the doctor feels is necessary. One may require a specific treatment but if they are not insured for that the insurance company does not pay.

Wrong! State police are not authorized to make arrests for violation of federal law. If the Feds issue an arrest warrant then any leo can act on that warrant, but the States are not authorized to enforce federal law with being deputized by the federal government. Immigration enforcement is NOT the purview of the states and federal courts will smack down the states for doing so.
