In both ways. China has learned that invading Taiwan will not be as easy as they thought. Everyone thought Ukraine could be invaded in less than two weeks. It is far harder than that, and Taiwan would be in many ways even harder.

China also learned that trump will allow them to do anything they want in their sphere. They are already advancing as far away as New Zealand and Australia.

Serendipity better keep that Irish passport close to him. No telling what would happen in China seizes control over Thailand.
 
I wonder how the world would be different had Benes, in Czechoslovakia, stood up to Hitler and his western enablers. Clearly giving in, like trump demanded, did not prevent a world war. Appeasement simply does not work.

Right now, China is having exercises to control the Tasmanian Sea, between New Zealand and Australia. When China starts demanding Australia and New Zealand as their sphere of control, there is a real problem.

lol Russia is hugely embarrassed by their pitiful performance against Ukraine. They had far more resources and 4 times the population, yet couldn't stop a poorly supplied civilian militia from invading them. Putin looks pathetic, and NATO has new members and more want in.

I disagree. China will gain nothing by conquering Taiwan. It will have to destroy it to do so. And Taiwan has fended off many China incursions since the days of Chiang Kai Shek.
