3 L.A. teachers suspended over Black History Month celebration

These are basic facts, easily available to anyone who can force themselves to log off the sarah palin face book page, and consider for three nanoseconds the history of this country.

Black pride and african-american unity is a direct result of 400 years of oppression; and the fact that whites ourselves lumped them all into one monolithic category. They didn't do that to themselves. Segregation and the culture of this country lumped them together. And as I said, they have no freaking clue what country in africa is the source of their heritage.

Whites have never been discriminated against in any sustained way on enslaved based only on their skin color. If they had, I would fully expect there to be some form of white unity, in they way that there is a black unity or jewish unity.

As it is, whites have never had those experiences, and identify with their ethnic national roots. I've never heard you neocons express the least little bit of outrage at Saint Patty's day, or irish pride.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!! :good4u:

I mean it's not like whites were ever indentured servants, sold into slaves over debt, forced to immigrate because they were of a lower social class, etc.

But, I regress; continue to flog yourself. :palm:

Yeah, but we want a History month. Get with the program, man! Heritage months aren't good enough!

You have to recognize that almost all of us are being obviously and jokingly sarcastic in this thread.

And I could care no less than I already so long as they recognize that they are "American"...

Sometimes it gets to me when people say, "I'm Italian." or "I'm German"... I then ask if they've ever been to Germany or Italy, and about 98% of the time you get a "no"... They aren't Italian, they are American.

:hand:

But, I regress...

Yes you do...yes you do!

Are you therefore saying that definition #1 doesn't also apply??
Or is it that I haven't been paying you enough attention and you're now heart broken??

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Admit it Einstein, you used an incorrect word and it made you sound even dumber than usual.

Just admit it and we won't have to spend the afternoon continuing to poke fun at your stupidity...

I would use "digress" where you used "regress" so that Zappa doesn't spend hours trying to get other people to care.

But I meant it the way I said; because I had made two serparate comments, prior to it.
My "regression" was to go back to my fist comment, regarding chrispie's post.

It's not my fault that zippy is to thick to understand sarcasm. :cof1:

I wasn't correcting you, I was just hoping to stave off several pages of the several definitions of regress being ignored for his specific one that he thought was clever.

It wouldn't matter; because once he's got his teeth into something, he won't let go.

What "fist comment" was that?

You threaten to punch a woman again?

Of course that's what he meant and thank you for pointing out what we both knew...he used the wrong word.

Not that I expect him, or you for that matter, to admit as much...

Or Chuck Rangel? :palm:
Are you and webbway really this fucking stupid? You would shit yourself if kids were encouraged to carry pictures of James Earl Ray, or Charles Witman or even William Jefferson Clinton to celebrate the greatness of American white people. Well you probably wouldn't think the first 2 are that bad.
