Florida's constitution allowed for a recount request when the difference between the candidates was under a certain percentage. Gore's mistake was asking for selective recounts instead of statewide, which SCOTUS overruled. The election was then decided, Gore publicly conceded, he met w/ the incoming President, and everyone moved on.
That’s a funny question coming from an election denier. I did the same. What’s simplistic about his question is the notion that I cannot accept an objective result if I subjectively ask questions about the process. For example I can acknowledge that Trump objectively won in 2016, but I can also question his apparent attempts to take advantage of foreign interference, I can question whether Comey acted appropriately and I do not have to congratulate anyone, especially human trash like Trump. They are not capable of that nuance.
