The Harvard CAPS-Harris poll found that 56 percent of those surveyed at least somewhat agree that Trump, who is the clear front-runner for the GOP nomination, will act like a dictator if given a second term, including almost 40 percent who strongly agree.

So, Biden has been using law-fare since 2021 against his leading political opponent. Trump has been attacked daily, hourly, since he took office...even before he took office.

Biden's party attacked Democracy in Colorado and other states by removing him from the ballot.

In America, the people get to decide for whom they vote.

Worst case scenario is that it lasts for four years and only if there’s a Republican supermajority. And if that happens ( ) the pubs will fuck things up so bad they’ll all be voted out in short order.
I remember dims breathlessly saying GWB was going to install himself as dictator for life . lol

We already had four years of a Trump presidency where he tried to overturn the election he lost and a bunch of Republican appointed judges told him to pound sand. And our democracy still stands.

This is basically a campaign pitch. The Democratic base buys it, remains to be seen how well it works on others.

(And look at how these 'pro democracy' Democrats have gone after No Labels. We support democracy when it's convenient is what their actions show. And yes, I too remember those comments about Bush.)

They always say stupid stuff like that.

Considering we are not a democracy but a Republic repeating bullshit like that proves nothing. Democracy is no more than mob rule.

Exactly. I view manipulating our IC and the DOJ to go after your leading opponent as much more dangerous to Democracy than telling people to peacefully protest. Also trying to deny people the right to vote for the candidate of their choice does not seem very democratic.

Meh. Such polls don't mean anything. They are random number generators.

Indeed!

They sure do get to decide. And in the last two elections, they resoundingly rejected Trump.

And an exceptionally great President he was, too!
where he tried to overturn the election
Trump is not a Democrat. DEMOCRATS tried to overturn the election. DEMOCRATS are the ones that commit election fraud and still do to this day. You cannot blame YOUR problems on Trump.
The election faulted due to election fraud by Democrats. There was no election in 2020. You cannot lose what never took place.
and a bunch of Republican appointed judges told him to pound sand.
Hallucination.
And our democracy still stands.
There is no democracy. The United States was never a democracy.

The MAGA movement is no different than the nazi movement under hitler. Sick fucks worship the ground trump walks on.

You really think Trump didn't negatively impact our Constitution, our judicial system and international relations? I do.

Clearly Trump attempted to keep himself as President on 1/6 and failed, but it weakened our justice system such as millions of Republicans calling the 1/6 traitors "political prisoners". They aren't. Anyone who thinks Trump wouldn't pardon them all and then try it again is fooling themselves.

If Trump did try it again, do you think his chances are better this time around? The same? Less?

Because you hallucinate and you're a Democrat, Sock.

He won't, because some of them will have already served their time and been released.

Try what?
