Most Americans see Trump's MAGA as threat to democracy: Reuters/Ipsos poll

So, Biden has been using law-fare since 2021 against his leading political opponent. Trump has been attacked daily, hourly, since he took office...even before he took office.

Biden's party attacked Democracy in Colorado and other states by removing him from the ballot.

In America, the people get to decide for whom they vote.

Oh, poor Trump. You make him sound like some sort of innocent bystander.

Trump hasn't cared about the rule of law his entire life. Remember Trump University, where he conned thousands out of hard-earned money?

Trump brought his legal troubles on himself. It's only his "it's not fair!" whining that has his cult thinking it's some sort of weaponized DOJ, or whatever they're saying now.

Also - we have a Constitution in this country. If Trump isn't eligible to run according to the Constitution's rules, "people getting to decide" is a moot point. We're a land of laws.

We already had four years of a Trump presidency where he tried to overturn the election he lost and a bunch of Republican appointed judges told him to pound sand. And our democracy still stands.

This is basically a campaign pitch. The Democratic base buys it, remains to be seen how well it works on others.

(And look at how these 'pro democracy' Democrats have gone after No Labels. We support democracy when it's convenient is what their actions show. And yes, I too remember those comments about Bush.)

He was one VP away last time from succeeding. And MAGA has spent the last 4 years populating the government & election officials w/ loyalists.

There is no precedent for a president to use his Justice Department to attack a political opponent who is leading him in most of the polls.

Banana Republic stuff.

They sure do get to decide. And in the last two elections, they resoundingly rejected Trump.
44,000 votes spread over 4 swing states won Biden the election . There were more than 155,000,000 votes cast. Biden won by 0.00028% Had Trump won those four swing states he would be President today.

Flip-flops on the LW "popular vote" idea.

Okay, Doktor Melon-Picker, what was the percentage Hillary won by in 2016?

No. He's simply innocent of all the shit Democrats accuse him of.
Trump hasn't cared about the rule of law his entire life.
You are describing Democrats again, Sock. You cannot project YOUR problems on Trump or anybody else.
Remember Trump University, where he conned thousands out of hard-earned money?
He didn't.
Trump brought his legal troubles on himself.
No. DEMOCRATS are persecuting him. That's illegal, you know. They are doing it to try to keep him from being elected President again. That's illegal too, you know.

You cannot deny what the Democrats have done, Sock.

You can't hide behind the document you despise, Sock.

The Harvard CAPS-Harris poll found that 56 percent of those surveyed at least somewhat agree that Trump, who is the clear front-runner for the GOP nomination, will act like a dictator if given a second term, including almost 40 percent who strongly agree.

The majority of Americans approve of the job Trump did as President. The majority of Americans disapprove of the job Biden has done as pResident.

The President is not elected by popular vote.
There was no election in 2020.

Do you have any evidence that Biden has directed the DOJ?

Or is that just something Trump is telling you to think?

You don't think you ever made it ninth grade, Sock. Now you figure that your own illiteracy amazes you???
It truly is sad to see you mind deteriorate and slowly circle the drain, Sybil. Expected, but still sad. I've worked with mentally ill friends and family members. Some try to get better, some do not. You're a "do not".

Not that you have much choice. The mentally ill have little or no choice. Normal people have more choices in behavior, more variety. It depends upon the individual and the exact diagnosis.

Considering we are not a democracy but a Republic repeating bullshit like that proves nothing. Democracy is no more than mob rule.

Again the repetition of this ignorance in a forum supposedly attended by politically attuned people. National democracies are republics. So are national dictatorships republics, a la The People's Republic of North Korea, etc.
Get a fucking dictionary.

Our trouble with Trump is his obvious discomfort with American democracy; his preference for the leaders of Russia, Turkey and North Korea over our democratic allies in Europe. He doesn't hide it. We would give him another term at our peril.

The voters RESOUNDINGLY rejected Trump in both elections. The first, by about 3 million votes. The second, by over 7 million votes.
