There used to be an annual GUN/GUITAR show in Waxahachie.

I only ever sold my guitars there, but people with guns were always offering to trade me a gun for a guitar- NO BACKGROUND CHECK necessary!

But another loophole is getting these Gunshow Dealers to abide with the background check laws- many are willy nilly!

Background check laws for guns is unconstitutional, Sock.

Some people have guns to trade. They are private owners. I strongly doubt a businessman would commit a felony illegally selling guns to someone who is probably a criminal.

Such a law preventing private sales is itself unconstitutional, Sock.

There is nowhere you can go that prevents a nutcase from starting to shoot people.
That's why many carry a gun to stop such nutcases before they shoot more people.

The best solution to a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

Totally prevent, no, but if you make it harder for the nutcase to obtain a gun, you can limit it, those States with stricter gun regulations and consequently less gun violence proves it

And how is that “good guy with a gun” defense working out with gun deaths climbing every year, and especially considering a lot of the shooters were good guys with a gun right up to the moment they pulled the trigger

At least you realize now, that LICENSES have a function, and that function is to keep people honest.

A license go own or carry a gun serves NO purpose, and is itself unconstitutional.

Because if one wants to keep his license, he will abide by the rules and laws.

Criminals do not abide by rules and laws, and some of them carry a gun.

That is why there needs to be a license for the gun owner as well, just to say, that as a gun owner, I promise to abide by the rules and laws of gun ownership, and if I don't, I will lose my license to even own a gun.

A license to own or carry a gun serves no purpose, and is unconstitutional.

IF YOU ONLY HAD HALF OF A BRAIN, YOU WOULD WANT EVERY ONE CARRYING A GUN IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD- TO HAVE A LICENSE PERMITTING THEM TO CARRY THEIR WEAPON ON THEM. I mean, do you really want someone walking down your street, carrying a gun illegally?

There is no 'illegally'.

And one of those gun laws should be that gun owners may only sell their guns to registered licensed dealers. And licensed gun owners may only purchase their guns from LICENSED GUN DEALERS. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP US ALL SAFER!

A license for guns does not keep anyone safer.

The idea is to keep guns out of the hands of people that should not be allowed to own them. RIGHT?

You can't.

The only way to do that is for every gun owner be licensed, every dealer have a dealer's license, and every gun be registered to the state.

Doesn't work. Such a license is unconstitutional.

My Dad had a philosophy, that he reminded me of many times- and that I practice in everything I do, and that is, "If you are going to do something- DO it right, or don't do it at all!

He had others, like- "If you are going to do something, do it right the first time, and then you won't have to go back and do it all over again"!

The problem America faces with Guns, is- WE NEVER DID IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

The only problem is people like YOU, who are afraid of guns.

We allowed all of these loopholes to exist because we do not license gun owners, and we have never registered our guns to our states- Like we register our automobiles now and and license people that gives them the earned privilege to even be allowed to drive them in public IN THE FIRST PLACE.

So why don't you explain this "Gunshow Loophole" you are rambling about. Every show I've been to of late requires that any gun sold MUST be sent to a licensed gun dealer with an FFL and MUST go through a background check.

As for an FFL dealer committing a felony when at a Gun Show, why? There are plenty of legal buyers there and, in order to maintain good relations with law enforcement, s/he would report anyone seeking to break the law.
