Last time for the obstinate, last November Johnson said the House would not even consider aid for American allies unless the border was dealt with at the same time, the right bloviated endlessly how we have to protect out border for national security, the usual immigration armageddon rant

He was given what he asked for in November

The right says the border is their primary concern but they refused to even look at any proposal, a bipartisan one at that, to address their so called concern. Bottom line, they don’t give a rat’s ass about the border, they want an open border

Saying it is kindergartenish, and reflects a total lack of understanding of the problem, to think some President is going to just issue EOs and correct the immigration problem, neither Bush, Obama, or Trump, could do it, any reform, and it is reform that has to happen, has to come thru Congress

Sure but the laws on the book are woefully inadequate as Repuibli'cans' have been pointing out for decades.

For instance, if the person puts foot on US ground and claims 'asylum' the law demands they then be admitted into the US and have a hearing on the asylum claims, which currently can take months or years.

That is why Biden, wants legislation that would allow him to slow the flow, and ALSO to turn them and deport them as fast as Obama could.

Magats are saying no to BOTH.

The POTUS has the power to enforce the border WITHIN CURRENT LAW, which is woefully inadequate.

Even you admit Trump was trying to get the power and laws changed but you say the Dems fought him.

Now Biden is trying to get the laws changed, and letting the Republi'cans' in the Senate draft the legislation and yet Magats are fighting it'


So NO, Biden, (just as you say Trump was) is being fought and cannot do what needs to be done.
 
Take up each part of the bill individually... Democrats aren't sincere about working with Republicans on these issues... so much phony outrage and false accusations...it's nauseating...
