The Jan 6 committee was a one-sided narrative. There was no cross-examination of evidence. Evidence that was exculpatory to even the slightest degree was omitted. The public isn't nearly as stupid as the Democrats thought and for the most part the whole proceeding was tuned out as being the show trial that it was. It had nearly zero impact on public opinion. If anything, given the smackdown committee members got at the polls, it was counterproductive to their own careers to participate in it.

The vast number of citizens paid the whole thing scant attention. They weren't "educated" about anything and saw the proceedings as little more than the show trial they were.

Say what you want, but those are the facts. There was no defense, no cross examination, and the evidence presented was cherry picked to favor the prosecution so-to-speak. In every aspect, the Jan 6 committee failed.

What you ignore is that NO ONE SIDED narrative EVER involved only people who voted for Trump, worked for Trump, and who wanted him and the Republicans to win that election but stopped at support when it came to illegality and stealing it.

One sided does not apply here or they would only call democrats and they did not.

I never said anything close to that. The Jan 6 committee was all about Trump and Trump's supposed role in Jan 6. It wasn't ever about any person charged for participating in the capitol riot. As for things not brought up at their trial? Well, we could start with all that video footage withheld.

Remember Jacob "Buffalo Man" Chansley? Within days after Tucker Carleson (whatever you think of him) putting up newly released video of Chansley's activities on Jan 6 at the Capitol building, he was given early release from prison about 14 months early release. Why was that? The best explanation is that the US attorneys decided PDQ after seeing what was released that they didn't want risk of Chansley (or his lawyers) filing for a mistrial on the basis of their withholding exculpatory evidence which was crystal clear with the release of that video footage.

It's clear that the US attorneys on these cases withheld evidence and made other procedural errors deliberately to get convictions. Defendants relying on public defenders were often given bad information resulting their accepting plea deals rather than going to trial.

Any alternative to trump is a viable alternative. The problem is the magas are all in on trump as their dear leader. To most of today's Republican Liz is a traitor. She's no danger to trump in the upcoming election.

I hope not. What I am predicting is still more leftists joining this race because folks see Dementia Joe as more of a danger than activists on the left see him as (yes, most posters on this site are activists, it's just science). The fact that the man cannot function is really a significant factor in this race. I think nearly anyone could have beat Trump if they had been running earlier in a primary and beat Kamala fair and square in the primary, but I think that it is too late now to get a real primary going for the Dems, and dumping the current VP as the candidate will KILL whoever they try to run... Kamala would not beat Trump...

What I see coming down the pipe is a mess for these United States. Two candidates that most people who are not activists do not want to run at all battling it out. Once again the battle between the witless. Your choice is a diarrhea sandwich or a turd sandwich.

What I really predict: The first party that figures out that they need a valid candidate different than their current frontrunner will win. If it keeps going like it is though, and we have the choice between two different dookies? What I predict if that happens is that whichever we get saddled with we have a steady diet of dooky.

I am noting that the current polls reflect that sentiment, and that it is a very real factor among voters that are not activists... that is not a prediction it is a reality. Are you predicting that Cheney will get the same votes she got during a primary as a republican by percentage in a general election running as other than a republican? The reality, republicans that change party to run against a republican do not get what they used to get in primaries when they were republicans.... (remember Gary Johnson?)

And by default he's also predicting that Trump will be the candidate, and conceding without her winning that 28% that he would beat Dementia Joe...
