Yup.

In the ratings that score Republican conservatives by votes and policy positions Liz was amongst the most conservative and republican of any one in the party.

Trump and the Maga's revel in announcing they are not republicans, in the way the party existed prior, which was exemplified by Reagan, Bush, McCain type republicanism.

So the Trumpers are literally Republicans in name only. Or RINOs. And there is nothing wrong with that. If they want to say 'we thought the party needed a wholesale change to better reflect todays voters', then own it.

But instead, because the Magat style Trumpism requires them hate and slander everyone who disagrees with them, they have use every insult they can think of including calling them RINO's when that could not be further from the truth.

Nothing outs how much someone has gone full Magat, then the reflexive need to attack and deride any true republican simply because they refuse to follow the Magat path, instead of just saying 'they are yesterdays party and left behind', which is the accurate assessment.

There has been lots of talk, on the derp right about this.

The Trump backers have accepted there simply is no way he will gain more votes, relative to where he is today, and likely will not get the same amount of votes he got in 2020. He is not suddenly going to appeal to independents or swing voters, so his vote is capped. He is at his ceiling.

So instead they have a massive dark money war chest that is out searching for anyone, who they can bribe and pay to run on the Dem side (west, Kennedy, etc) to try and shave any amount of Biden votes to bring him down.

In an election that is likely to be very close they believe shaving every vote matters, and it might. So if they can find 6 they think will have any amount of impact, they will fund 6. If they can find 10, they will fund 10. They are looking at the Dem 'Big Tent' and trying too find one person who can appeal to each group, in the tent, even if just on the margins.

They as strategist, have to be smart, something you do not understand, and they know the path to try and get Trump a win, is not trying to win back the women's vote, and independent vote and other block votes in GREATER numbers than he has in the past, and his path to victory is to fracture the Dem collision vote by splitting it.
