I've been a hunter for my entire adult life. I have a couple of rifles that will do the trick in one shot.

So am I. I never sell. Before I owned my own place, I hung guns from the rafters in my attic because I had no where else to put them.

Except their murder rate is staying roughly the same and their violent crime rate has increased, while both rates have dropped in the US.

I was just offering to counter his armed threat. I wouldn't interfere with the fight unless he used a gun.

My posts are mainly aimed at the idea that someone threatens to kick another person's ass, then when the threat is accepted they decides to use a gun instead.

I have had a close friend murdered. I didn't go with a knee-jerk reaction and try to remove the rights of millions over it. I also don't see the inanimate object as the cause of my grief.

I'm an unconditional anti gun nut, and will never change.

The one thing I would add is I wouldn't remove your gun till criminals almost never had them which in practice could prob never happen.

So, I guess I like waisting air I could prob use on my death bed.

I had a close friend killed while jogging 30 yrs ago and I was away on my honeymoon. Very tough

Losing someone we care about is always tough. And if I thought it would actually change things significantly, I might go along with more limitations on guns.

But nothing I have seen shows me that restricting access to guns by law abiding citizens will have a positive effect.
