3.2% inflation

Sure. I would never argue Democrat politics is perfect. There are lots of corporate Dems and self serving Dem's.

But there really are NO Republi'cans' trying to push any policy or legislation that benefits the common citizen. They have been near 10)5 captured by corporate, donor and Trump interests.

the only benefits any citizen would ever feel is that which happens when you juice the corporate sector or donors with tons of money, by spiking debt and cutting taxes, which causes that sugar high i speak of that hurts the country long term.

Think of it in the same corporate raiders in the 80's would do Leveraged Buy Outs to buy big successful companies with tons of debt.

They would pay out current shareholders at a profit with debt, while then gutting R&D and laying off as mch staff as they could all to cause a short term bump in the bottom line, that actually great hurt the company over the long term. but it worked short term as that rush of new money came in and hit the bottom line.

that is ALL Republi'cans' do over and over.

From today's paper. Of course there's back history here and not everything occurs in a vacuum. But the Chronicle interviews several working class type folks for their reactions. This one jumped out at me because on a board like this we argue inflation is dropping and it's not a big deal etc - largely because people here have money. Not that upper middle class people are immune to the effects of cost increases but assuming you don't live above your means you don't feel them in the same way. Working class and lower income people clearly do. Here's one working class person's view of it. To him, inflation is still high. (It makes no reference to who they voted for or who they will vote for but it shows inflation is still on their minds)

PG&E bills to soar nearly $400 a year in 2024 in ‘biggest rate case’ California ratepayer group has ever seen

“They (PG&E) keep causing disasters and they keep getting rewarded by state officials,” said a man who identified himself as Jose Lopez, who called into the proceeding from his home in the Central Valley. “Inflation is high and people are struggling to pay their bills.”

The average electric rate in California is 29.84 cents per kilowatt hour and 14 cents in Texas.

The average cost of gasoline in California is ~5.70 and ~ 3.02 a gallon in Texas.

It's crazy.

The unemployment rate when Trump left office was a distressing 6.7 percent.

Millions of people lost their jobs under Trump.

Losing your job is exponentially worse than being annoyed at the price of peanut butter and hamburger meat.

Caused by DEMOCRATS shutting down the economy over inducing panic about Covid.

With US oil production at an all time high, and Biden able to accomplish what Trump never could in actually getting the Oil Companies to utilize the drilling they had but were sitting on you must also be very happy with Biden on that too.

Biden banned drilling. Apparently you want to ignore history too.
The reason oil companies are drilling now is because a COURT OVERTHREW BIDEN's executive order!

So under Biden you admit we are doing way better than under Trump, in terms of pumping Oil. So that is good start for you to admit that.

I am not much in to the guessing and theorizing game where you speculate things could be even better if Trump was still in power and you want to count that as it is stupid. I could say if Biden was in power in 2016 instead of Trump, Biden would have outperformed Trumps economy in every area, and thus no one did well under Trump as they would have done better under Bidens hypothetical economy. When anyone is resorting to arguments of 'Ya i am doing great... Oil is doing great... but it could be better', you know they have lost.

No. Not under Biden.

Then the rate of increase should be faster for Biden. Thanks for making my argument for me.

No you have it backwards. Trump way underperformed in his term having inherited a hot economy from Obama. Had Biden took it in 2016 from Obama he would have crushed all of Trumps best numbers.

Biden inherited a shit economy from Trump, starting him way back in a hole and yet still managed to not only dig out but crush Trumps numbers post 2020.

Yes but if Biden took office in 2016 instead of Trump we would have easily doubled what Trump did. Over 200% increase.

Look at how Biden is now crushing Trumps numbers after inheriting from Trump an economy in chaos. Imagine if instead Biden inherited the great economy Trump did from Obama, and how much better it would be.

Biden wasn't running in 2016.

You are denying history again. The economic depression during the Obama administration continue almost a full year into the Trump administration before it finally ended.
The DEMOCRATS caused the current economic depression by inducing panic over Covid.

ExpressLane you realize why we are all laughing at you right?

Trump is the kid who inherits a top performing company from Daddy (Obama economy) and almost bankrupts it (drives economy towards recession pre covid).

Biden is the kid who then steps in and takes the near bankrupt company from Trump, and turns it back into performing so well even you credit it.

But you make up the only fake complaint you can think of after you compliment Biden's economy (you think Bidens Oil numbers are actually good) and that is Trump would have done better if only he was left in charge, despite the prior reality being clear.

God, you are stupid and very brainwashed. Derp, derp, derp!

Did the millions of jobs losses happen under Biden, or Trump?

The millions of losses came as a result of the China Virus but you know that don't you? The lockdowns destroyed this country for decades and Brandon printing money os a joke. Look at what his bullshit has caused. Better yet, go finance a new home and gert back to us.

So, they happened under Trump. Not Biden.

Thanks.

Biden is holding down oil production...

Court Orders Biden Administration to Hold Oil and Gas Lease Sale
https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-...istration-to-Hold-Oil-and-Gas-Lease-Sale.html

Biden's administration was foot dragging on holding legally mandated bidding on oil and gas leases and when he was smacked down by the courts, he appealed to drag out the process and avoid the bidding / leasing of new sites as long as he could.

At the same time, companies are refusing to bid on new solar and wind--particularly offshore wind--projects that the Biden administration wants.
