There was always a question whether Trumps lawyers in defense would put him on the stand or if Letisha would subpoena him and force him to the stand. Now Letisha has indicated the latter and the date is Nov 6th.

Donald Trump is expected to take the witness stand on Nov. 6 in his civil fraud trial, the New York attorney general's counsel said in court on Friday.

The former president's testimony has long been expected, though the exact timing of when it would happen remained unclear until now. His under-oath appearance is scheduled to take place exactly one year before Election Day 2024, when the GOP's frontrunner for the party's presidential nomination hopes he'll win back the White House. (On a far more local level, there is also a municipal general election, for New York City Council members and district attorneys in three outer boroughs, on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, the day after Donald Trump's testimony is slated to begin.)

Trump's adult children who have been part of his business while he served in the White House are also expected to be called as witnesses by the attorney general starting on Wednesday: Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump.

Most outside lawyers bet against Trumps own lawyers doing it as he is so stupid, and unable to not lie and endanger himself to numerous other charges. Almost everyone thinks Trump is so dumb he could go in to fight a speeding ticket and come out with a felony charge.

During prior testing to see if he could be called to the stand by some of his prior lawyers they all said 'no way... he lies constantly and cannot help himself'.

Civil trials are a bitch. If he doesn't testify, the judge can assume the worst.

I envision Trump in a cold sweat on the stand, coached by his lawyers to only take the 5th and say nothing but being aggressive taunting by the AG's lawyer and wanting so bad to reply.

I have him personally banned but still see he makes countless posts all in a row as a spambot. Posts that have zero debate value and are just meant to derail.

Everyone should ban him from threads for the sake of allowing discussions, as contentious as they may be.

Yes! That will be particularly hilarious when he's shown documents with false information, with his signature on them, and is asked if that is his signature. "I don't know" and "I plead the Fifth" will be big hits! :laugh:

Except, legal beagle, in a (un)civil trial, in fucking NYC, which is virtually behind the iron curtain, where the inquisitor was elected by his fellow communist comrades and the results of this farce are a foregone conclusion. I really can't think of a more glorious "FUCK YOU, JUDGE" than a litany of Trump invoking his 5th amendment rights over and over. He's absolutely free! Nothing he says or does is going to change this verdict. Hell, if I was him, I would quote HRC and say "At this point, what difference does it make!".

Another thing he should do even if he's cleared, is tear up his NY business licenses and throw the pieces in that DA's face.

Trump said anyone using the 5th was hiding guilt. Then he used it about 500 times in testimony. Yes, he will do it again, but by his standards, he is admitting guilt.https://www.needtoimpeach.com/corruption/trump-fifth-amendment-michael-cohen/
