Trump and his Administration were a disaster in the way they handled covid as he ADMITS he was always trying to hide the real threat of it, which lead to the gov't not taking the big steps needed early to reduce the impact. Instead the US got the maximum impact. Again, try and pick a 1st world nation who got worse results, which is how you measure the success of leadership when talking about global pandemics or global inflation, which no POTUS can stop happening, but they can certainly influence the over all impact of and we can measure by looking at peer countries, their decisions and their outcomes.

Which is why we want the CDC on the ground in China, rather than us begging the Chinese Government to tell us what is happening. trump really gave away a huge concession, which is going to be difficult to get back again. If elected again, trump will do it to us again.

Slowing the spread of the virus was/is essential to saving lives. 1) It prevents hospitals from becoming overwhelmed. 2) It allows time to create vaccines and effective treatments. Countries and states that refused to take preventative measures cost their citizens' lives more than those who did.
