Nope. It's dumb to blame elected American leaders, including the president, for economic ups and down.

It's tempting, for instance, to blame Trump for the American and the global economic meltdown of 2020. He definitely mishandled the American response to the pandemic. But he didn't cause either the national or international economic crash. Nor did he have anything to do with the economic recovery that was ongoing when he took office after Pres. Obama's terms.

Now, lets get a bit serious. This virus was sudden and confusing due to the very different approaches proposed.
A leaders job is not to panic the public. Trump chose to downplay this as much as possible. The press choce to do otherwise. Neither was correct but compared to china welding citizens in their apartments, i like the minimalist approact.
In retrospect, Sweden was correct.

Wally, you are being a bit disingenuous. Trump at the request of a very panicked Governor of NY an entire hospital ship that sat empty in NYC. Tens of thousands of ventilators which faucci told everyone was the solution, were made by companies diverting their normal production to manufacture which again turned out to be bad information. Trump, pushed for a vaccine that was produced in record time which again faucci told us many times was the final solution (odd how his words were prophetic). Trump reached out blindly for existing medicines that might aid in the treatment, some of which were used in other countries that still use them effectively today. Waiting for you fucking idiots to use the words horse paste and drinking bleach to chime in.
Trump was the first to correctly point out this was hot caused by a bowl of bat soup and it was intentionally produced in a lab in CHINA.

Summed up, this was created and released at the correct time to upset an economy and an election in a country that hates the US. It worked.
If any of our previous presidents had taken the same steps as Trump, given the sudden and unexpected severity of this virus, I would find little fault with any of them.

Now that we are all smarter, FUCK THE CHINESE and the WHO. They are not our friends. We know that now.

Aliens and 'reptilians': US viral video doctor's odd beliefs and Trump promotes a doctor who has claimed alien DNA was used in medical treatments.

Trump also promoted crazy "cures" like horse dewormer and malaria medications.

Shall I go on or is that convincing enough? It certainly convinced millions to vote for Biden instead of the failed #ex-IMPOTUSx2.
