As for cashless bail, a contradiction of terms (bonds are a different concept - I'm serious about you taking an introduction to law class so you grasp basic terms and concepts.) The ONLY mention of bail is in the 8th Amendment of the Constitution your party has destroyed and discarded.
Bail is NOT buying freedom, it is a means of ensuring the defendant return for trial. A BOND, is a purchased implement in which the bondsman puts up the cash needed for bail, which is refundable when the defendant appears as scheduled. The defendant purchases the bond for a percentage, and the purchase is non-refundable. The effectivity of bonds, rather lack thereof is instantly apparent. In fact, the use of bonds undermines the entire purpose of bail.
Cashless bail is just OR. OR has been used with defendants deemed trustworthy from the start of the Republic.
