Martha Coakley hits a reporter!!

And yet if you had proof, we'd be looking at it instead of more namecalling.

Hey lookie everybody...I'm just as hypocritical as Yurt!

lol...it makes you look so stupid and dishonest to take the moral highground regarding insults...

i provided evidence, but you still want to believe that she had no idea what was happening that whole time....lmao, you're such a dem apologist

wow, getting pissy already? i guess you know you're wrong....

it is absolutely illogical to point out that in this ONE instance he is the only one....as if all the other times reporters harrass people don't count because this one time its just one guy...lmao...

do me a favor and click the video and educate yourself counselor

So a political reporter for a prominent conservative publication covering a Senate race should stoop to the level of a TV sports reporter chasing a fired college basketball coach.

There are scores of journalists covering this Senate race and only one guy that is chasing the candidate down the street. And it isn't the first time he's the only one stalking candidates. He's not a real journalist. He's an ambush artist. That's what he does. His intent is to create a story with himself as the main character. Real journalists don't do that.

You provided BLURRY video footage that showed nothing...and your hatred of Democrats forces you to pretend blurry video footage is "evidence".

now you're raising strawman....yawn

you claimed "real" journalist don't do this...i showed you an example that they do, i also named other examples and if you don't think "real" journalist ever act this stupid, then you live under a rock

Right, he's the only real journalist covering this race. And he's the only real journalist covering the New York special election. I get it. Move on.

you asked someone else for other pictures, now you're whining like a baby that its blurry....unless you have poor eyesight, it isn't that blurry...even nigel could tell her assistant pushed him into the railing....

its clear as day from that video that she knew what was going on, i'm not claiming she knew her assistant would push the guy, but to claim she has no clue.....not privy...

give me a break, that is just partisan hackery to believe that...and if you want a better video....go get one and stop whining

now you've moved from strawman to being dishonest....

it doesn't matter if there are a million other journalist covering this race, you claimed no "real" journalist do this type of ambush reporting....i showed you that you are clearly wrong and now you're trying to make it look like you said only about this race.....

OK, let me clarify. No real print media reporters act like this. Hell, I've seen plenty of TV news to know that following around someone with a camera in their face and ambushing them with questions is standard fare, but real print media journalists, particularly those covering politics, don't do that shit. None of them.

If you want to defend his tactics, by all means, but any print reporter with a shred of dignity or class wouldn't pull a bullshit stunt like that.

where have i once defended his tactics? i actually described his tactics in response to you, why don't you tell me what i actually said instead of this dishonest crap trying to insinuate i'm defending his tactics....:pke:

I said "if you want to . . ." You declined the offer. It's all good. We all seem to be in agreement that he's a douchebag.

Are you privy to any other pictures that haven't been posted yet? Because I can't really tell who saw what from the one photo posted so far.

There is NO WAY anyone can say for certain if there is anything to the woman's right. Maybe there is another person standing there who was engaged in conversation with her right before the incident.

From the article Chap originally posted, it mentioned that there was a youtube of the incident. I have not had time to go looking for it yet.

That said, as I stated, from the photo it is not clear if she saw it. My guess would be she did not see the guy get shoved to the ground, but rather turned to look after the fall. But I find it hard to believe she couldn't hear what was going on when she was that close to the situation.

yes... it does and it looks like she was standing pretty close when it happened, but not looking at him when it occurred. Hard to tell that part. I wish there had been sound.

Bottom line though... the guy pushing the reporter has NO right to continue to block his access on a public sidewalk. None. Not to say that it is her fault the guy went nuts. But I still find her 'not privy' comment to be pretty weak.

Yurt posted some blurry footage that is hard to see, but from what I could make out, it appears as though she was a few feet in front of the spot where the incident occurs, and probably turned when she heard the guy go down, so yeah, I think she didn't see the incident itself, but turned in time to see its aftermath.

Looking at someone on the ground doesn't tell you how they got there. From the video it looks like the "reporter" was being aggressive, was being prevented from getting in Coakley's face and was knocked into a barrier. And Coakley is in front of it all until the guy falls down next to her.

Real journalists don't regularly employ these ambush tactics. The guy is pretty clearly intent on becoming a story rather than reporting on one.

1) He is a reporter. The fact that you put it into quotes doesn't change that fact.

2) Yes, she was ducking his questions and he kept walking after her apparently asking the question she was ducking again and again. Annoying? Certainly. But that did not warrant the idiot pushing him to the ground. It does not change the fact that she was pretty much beside him when he fell. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what happened. Which is why the 'not privy' comment is so sad.

3) that said, I would agree the tactics of the reporter were weak.

4) weaker still were the actions of the lobbyist that pushed him to the ground and repeatedly assaulted him.

I would agree with that... when blown up to full screen I don't think she looked back until after he hit the ground. Unless she assumed the reporter was drunk, I fail to see how she couldn't figure out what happened. Reporter walking after her asking same question over and over again...bam he is on the ground with one of her lobbyist standing over him. Seriously? Not privy to what happened? Pretty weak excuse in my opinion.

That again doesn't change the fact that the reporter's tactics were bush league.

it is very weak, and IMO, dishonest that she was not privy. i posted the only video i could find, so if we all want to stop hearing zappygetard whine, please feel free to post something less blurry.....i don't think the video shows she was looking at him until he fell....it looks as if she is basically run/walking away and trusting the lobbyist/assistant to keep the guy away from her....

there is no way she didn't know there was a reporter or someone after her, if she had no clue or wasn't privy, does she then want us to believe a total stranger falls to the ground right next her and she looks, pauses and then turns right around and walks away?

either way, she looks horrible....

she should have said, i was trying to get away from that crazy reporter and i don't know how he fell or what exactly happened....but the reporters actions were over the top. this wouldn't even be news if she had been honest
