Martha Coakley hits a reporter!!

Chapdog

Abreast of the situations
Well not exactly but she watched it happen.

Bay State Attorney General Martha Coakley blamed GOP “stalkers” today for triggering tensions outside a Washington, D.C., fund-raiser last night where a Weekly Standard reporter said he was roughed up by a Coakley campaign worker.

So... she is standing right THERE when it happens... but is not 'privy' to what happened???

Coakley said she is not “privy” to the facts surrounding the incident involving reporter John McCormack last night

WTF???

So either she is the most unobservant person in the world and thus not suited for national office.... or she is a liar... and perfectly suited.

I knew a hack like you would jump in with some sort of righteous indignation.

Maybe she is fudging it, but the pic tells us nothing. If she just looked that way, she could certainly see that the guy was pushed down, but easily not know the circumstances leading up to that....

I knew a hack like you would try to defend her. I have little doubt the reporter likely deserved it. What I was questioning was her response of 'not being privy'. She was standing RIGHT THERE. She may not have seen the actual act of him being pushed down, but to pretend she also couldn't hear the guy asking her questions? Then seeing the guy on the ground. Please. That is a weak excuse by her. Plain and simple.

Are you privy to any other pictures that haven't been posted yet? Because I can't really tell who saw what from the one photo posted so far.

There is NO WAY anyone can say for certain if there is anything to the woman's right. Maybe there is another person standing there who was engaged in conversation with her right before the incident.

Looking at someone on the ground doesn't tell you how they got there. From the video it looks like the "reporter" was being aggressive, was being prevented from getting in Coakley's face and was knocked into a barrier. And Coakley is in front of it all until the guy falls down next to her.

Real journalists don't regularly employ these ambush tactics. The guy is pretty clearly intent on becoming a story rather than reporting on one.

saying she wasn't privy is a lie....she clearly knew what happened, knew the guy walking her was also being agressive, the guy falls, she sees it, pauses, looks away and walks away....

i'm not saying she is at fault, i'm saying he was pushed, she was privy

and "real" journalist do that all the time, have you ever seen someone try to leave a courthouse after a famous verdict? reporters stake out a famous person's house....please, get over yourself

Yes, that must be why he's the only guy chasing Martha Coakley down the street shouting questions at her, because he's the only real reporter in the entirety of Washington D.C. on Monday night. Right. And that must me why he's the only reporter to have the cops called on him by a candidate in the recent NY special election.

He's a stalker. An ambush reporter. Real journalists don't act that way. Only people who want to be the story rather than report on the story act that way.

Get a fucking clue, counselor.

Saying she clearly knew what happened is a lie.

Unless you've got incredible mind reading powers you have no more idea what she is privy to than anyone else looking at the picture/video.

You ever been startled by a loud noise?

Your head jerks around in the direction the noise came from, trying to find the source of the sound.

If she's looking at the guy who fell down, my guess is the loud banging sound when the railing fell is what caused her to look in that direction.

wow, getting pissy already? i guess you know you're wrong....

it is absolutely illogical to point out that in this ONE instance he is the only one....as if all the other times reporters harrass people don't count because this one time its just one guy...lmao...

zappygetard will do anything to defend a dem....it is the height of stupidity to claim she didn't know what was happening right next to her...she had no clue her escort was trying to shove off that reporter....

LMAO!!

LOL. She isn't high enough up in the campaign staff to be privy to such important information as to why some dude was pushed down right next to her!

Gawd this is one fun election year!

What a dink of a reporter though...
