As Mr. C Rock also said, that is one of the few privleges of being black. He then said he would trade with any white guy who was pissed about that. They could drop the N bomb and he could be white. I don't think there are white men here who, all other things being equal would rather be black.

How about that any black that was dark skinned, spoke with a hood accent in general conversation couldn't/shouldn't be electable? Is that fair? What about a white guy from Appalachia or University of Oklahoma?

Bill Clinton was born poor in appalachia. Clinton, LBJ and Harry Truman were all born poor white trash, if you will. And two of them spoke with hillbilly southern accents. Robert Byrd? Jesus, total white trash.

White dudes get a pass on this crap, that minorities, or even women, never would. A black person that was as poorly informed, inarticulate, or simple minded as George Dumbya, or Dan Quayle would never get within 20 light years of the white house or senate.


In other news: hilarious when tons of middle class whites imagine what black people think of Reid's comment. Apparently, the reich wing has given up it's silly quest to equate it to the things Trent Lott said, or the things that Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck say on a daily bases.

To me, what reid said sounded dumb, archaic, and insensitive. But, I don't see an ounce of intentional racism behind it. Hopefully he learned a lesson.
