Pete didn't cry at all when he had every right too. Like I said thank your lucky stars we didn't play you.
we would have beaten you worse than all those high school teams did this year.

What you need to watch yourself is a man of a coach, a man with class. Saban said before being selected however it falls. You need to see where salad tosser Pete and USC agreed to the BCS system and cried like the bitches they are when it didn't go their way.

Saban is NOT a man with class. Not in any way. Just ask the Dolphins. Or look to last nights game. When they got the third pick and the subsequent first down with less than 2 minutes to go, TX was out of time outs. A classy coach would have called for his QB to kneel on the ball three times. But no... Saban goes for another TD when he was already up 10 with under two to go.
NO CLASS.

I was pretty stunned at the playcalling during the last minute or so; I'd have to go back to the Jimmy Johnson/U years for a comparison. There was no reason at all to run up the score like that; it's not like the BCS rankings were a factor anymore.
I was rooting for Bama, too, but I thought that was embarassing.
The Alabama faithful wanted/needed/deserved that. If Texas had just stayed beaten like they should have it wouldn't have been necessary but they tried to make a come-back, so Saban buried them.
Saban probably wouldn't have done that anywhere but here, though. Other programs would expect a coach to kneel. We expect just the opposite if it's against a team like Texas in a game where every point is going to be debated over for the next year.

I was thinking the exact same thing. There was absolutely no need for that.
And if you want to argue from a strategy perspective have we ever seen a QB attempting to take a knee to run out the clock fumble the ball and have the other team return it for a TD? I haven't. But we have seen freak fumbles from running backs get returned. So it's not like Saban can argue we had to score to keep them from having a chance at a comeback.
wow, only Pete Caroll cries more than you pussies.
Had he not scored it you clowns would think your bullship points today actually had some merit.

The point is that if we hadn't done it everyone would be arguing right now about how "close" the game was. Instead, everyone is arguing about how merciless we are with our talent. I'd say we made the better choice, especially for our program's reputation as winners above all else.
I say again: Saban would not have done that if Texas hadn't gotten that last TD. Texas should have accepted a 10 point loss and stopped trying so bloody hard. They made a choice to try to make the game competitive again and thereby risking the merciless rage of the Nicktator. They gambled and lost. I don't feel sorry for them at all.
The above is simply ridiculous. Anyone who watched the game knew exactly how close it was. Anyone who watched knew that Bama took the foot off the gas on offense in the third quarter and then hit the accelerator in the fourth when TX pulled within 3.
When they scored the last TD, they were ALREADY UP BY TEN. Pretending they were trying to make some point about TX trying to make a comeback is simply idiotic.
Picture a fight between a big guy and a little guy.
They fight and big guy hits little guy with what should have been a knockout.
Little guy realizes he is probably not going to win whether he stands back up or not, but decides to stand back up and take the risk so that he will be remembered as having performed respectably against this big guy.
Big guy hits little guy with two solid punches, leaving him worse off than when he was already on the floor before.
Little guy bemoans his choice in the national media and his supporters raise hell about his self-inflicted horrible defeat on internet forums.
It's just basic ol' fashioned good sportsmanship.
You can disregard that code, but at your own peril; Jimmy Johnson's college legacy is as much classlessness & running up the score as it is the titles...
I am not crying about it toppy... just knocking down your idiotic 'he has class' comment.
bullshit, Texas still has it's foot on the pedal don't be aksing saban to let up.
