I doubt they knew she was pregnant...or that she had an outstanding warrant...They were just asking her to get out of the store...to go inside and address the allegation...... They were just following up on an employee alert...
They were there to help another customer get into their car...They weren't "hunting" as some seem to believe...
 
It wasn't too clear from the first bodycam released but it's pretty fucking clear now....she pressed down on that gas pedal, the car didn't "nudge forward" like people were claiming. If that cop got caught under that car he was dead! She wasnt stopping

That, IMO, is exactly the crux of the problem. The woman was stupid and wrong, but the police have the training and the weapons. They should know better than an ignorant 21-year-old pregnant woman.

With great power comes great responsibility. The police officer should either be fired or have his gun taken away and assigned to desk duty.

According to the criminal complaint, police were attempting a traffic stop for a stolen car Saturday night, and Shute was the driver. This was around 9 p.m. inside the South Park Apartments.

Officers say Shute sped off, jumped a curb and hit the child, who was playing in the grass near his mom.

This POS went to Kroger to commit a crime had it planned out. Took tag off car parked it in handicap spot backed in. She wasn't going to stop if confronted. She could have hit killed a child in parking lot because she wasnt going to stop for nothing
