Today's military and its academies have been thoroughly corrupted by wokeness; anti-Americanism; and, yes, homegrown communism. Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (DIE) Critical Race Theory; mandatory white self-criticism sessions; and transgender indoctrination are front and center in the services. These abominations now rule in what was formerly a meritocracy. Soviet-style political commissars ("respect officers") keep tabs on cadet companies and combat units alike; step out of line politically, and your career is ruined. Flag officers (generals and admirals) who, like me, took a solemn oath to defend the U.S. Constitution "against all enemies, foreign and domestic" now salute smartly and carry out illegal orders from Washington so that they might retire with highly lucrative positions in the Military-Industrial Complex that President Eisenhower warned us about. The academies and active-duty units defy federal law at will, ignoring Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiries, restrictions on federal funding of abortion, and other legislation with impunity.

Our once proud military hasn't won a war since 1945. Generals and Admirals now openly support the kind of medical experimentation that sent Nazis to the gallows after WWII. Free cosmetic surgery, once prohibited, is now a "right" for so-called transgenders in the service.

It's a disgrace, and I wouldn't recommend the military or service academies to anyone anymore.

I do realize that much of the anti military, anti American and racist examples of the Left in this post do resemble much of what was posted
by me in the one talking about how America is starting to resemble Zimbabwe, but if the shoe fits, as it does here, then lefties should
wear their racist shoes with pride.

And in keeping with the main theme of the OP, how well did your CIC and his administration militarily handle the Afghanistan tragedy? Okay, all
you lefty idiots can come aboard again and attack me, or attack the great American Thinker while remaining oblivious to the dem's party total
failures and total anti American destructive policies. I, like the author of this OP are both veterans, and as such, have the need to once again
suggest that no one should sign up for our military so long as the useless/destructive dems are in charge.

Nothing ever exists or happens until it does.

The world has had civil wars in the past.

Ours was unusual because half the nation just wanted to secede.

Most are worse because both sides want the whole thing and end up just settling for partition,
or one side completely dominates the other. Domestic tranquility can't even be imagined in such cases.

What we haven't seen is a peaceful and mutual effort to partition a nation by negotiation.
Remember, nothing has ever existed until it did.
Also, things actually do happen for the first time.

Let's use the red state / blue state model just for an example.

It's true that there are conservatives in blue states like Massachusetts and liberals in red states like Texas.
With partition, people would be free to migrate.
If they choose to stay for some reason, they now know exactly what they'll be getting.

The final result, however, would be the vast majority of people getting the government that they actually want--for the first time in American history.

You speak of war?

The present peace isn't worth jack shit.

My idiot neighbors immediately to the north have this curious vehicle registration plate motto:

LIVE FREE OR DIE.

Let's free as many people as possible.

We can have you hating my kind of government,
me hating your kind of government,
or both of us having a government that we can at least tolerate.

It would be war, neef. The fact a lot of those areas are purple only enhances the likelihood of war. Consider Florida, a "Red State" which is only a third Red. Do you really expect millions of blue or independent Floridians to relocate? Or is it more likely they'd start shooting red Floridians?
