Injustices by our government, regardless if they affect us directly or not, erode confidence in our government. Trust is earned and easily lost.

A little bit of common sense should tell one to sit as still as possible and keep one's hands in plain sight no matter what else they tell one to do.

One can always show them one's ID later, after the situation has calmed down.
