Ohio police shoot pregnant woman

She was an irate pregnant 21 year old. Not to hard to figure her hormones and emotions were in charge. Police are supposed to be better, not identical.

Overreacted = failed to de-escalate.

Hence why there is wrongness here.

What was she irate about? She stole a couple bottles of booze (pregnant women are not supposed to drink) and ran.

Sorry but her actions were the cause of her and babies death. I am sure the shooting review team will determine if it was a proper shooting.

Again cops are human and make mistakes.

She had a warrant for her arrest...I'm sure she wanted out of there, and she was making it quite clear she wasn't going to cooperate....

irate because she got caught

why didnt see have a tag on car?

was it stolen...did she take it off because she knew she was going to break the law and took it off the get away car?

Getting caught. I'm not defending her actions. I'm only saying the police should have de-escalated instead of escalating the situation into a fatal shooting.

Disagreed. The man who pulled the trigger is the cause of her and her baby's death. Of course they will. It's Ohio and she was DWB.

Yes, and they should be held accountable for those mistakes. Again, the Spider-Man rule applies.

Then why do you keep calling her a shoplifter without seeing evidence of it?

I'm not defending what this woman did, she used extremely poor judgment. In fact, nobody ITT is defending her actions. But the people who are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at her are part of the problem. How about sticking to what we see and know for sure, instead of bringing up her kid's t-shirt, her obit, her priors, her age when the oldest child was born and other irrelevant stuff that's just a smear attack.

I never brought up any of the things you mentioned except for the fact the police stopped her for allegedly stealing from that store. Now since you were there you =might have evidence to the contrary but the plain fact this woman is dead is because she attempted to run over a police officer with her car full stop period end of story. Just for your information Perry Mason, normally not guilty do not put their vehicle in drive and do the same.

Perhaps the best way to describe this incident,
Around she fucked,
Found out she did.

You and I have already agreed that breaking the law means the cops can shoot you dead. Like these Pedo Nazi fuckwits:

We know for sure she had a warrant out for her arrest... more than likely that's what she was worried about...

she escalated it when she drove at the cop...they didnt shoot till after that escalation

Yes she did. It is illegal not to comply with a police order.
She feared for her life. If she were white, this would not have happened. Police are NOT supposed to put themselves in a dangerous position. He didn't belong in front of her car, per regulations.

In retrospect, she would have been better running him down.

The city will pay dearly for this.

I'm happy you and I agree Ashli Babbitt deserved what she got. If it was up to me, the police would have taken down dozens, of not hundreds, of terrorists that day.

You are an idiot with a very loose association to the truth- When you intentionally ram your car into a cop you are likely to get shot no matter who you are it is just a retart d and hung to do

We had a incident where a canine cop illegally stopped and searched my son and his car. He said the dog got a hit and searched the car. He handcuffed my son and put him in a squad car with windows rolled up and turned off the AC on purpose in August. The dog circled the car twice and did not respond then the cop placed himself between the dog and the squad car dash cam and said the dog got a hit. The dog was trained to sit when he got a hit of drug scent. Even though the officer was standing in front of the dog its tail was still in the picture and the dog never sat. They found some dried crepe myrtle blossoms (my son always parked under a large crepe myrtle tree) in the back floorboard and said it was marijuana shakes. (crumbs of weed that get dragged out of a persons pockets) Anyway I took the video to the police Chief and viewed the illegal search with him. The canine officer got forced to resign. It is always better to comply because cops always win on the street.
Your son is white.

Philando Castile complied with every conflicting order and they still murdered him.

Hell...cops bought Dylan Roof a hamberder.

If she had just pointed a shotgun at them she'd still be alive.

Yep

AMBRIDGE, Pa. (AP) — A man is in custody on assault charges after a witness told police he pointed a shotgun at two women and attempted to enter a predominantly Black church in a small steel town just outside Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania.

Jeffrey Harris, 38, was being held in Beaver County jail on $975,000 bail Thursday, awaiting a preliminary hearing next week. He is charged with aggravated assault and a handful of other counts.

Harris, who is white, was arrested a block away without a shot being fired. He was taken into custody in Ambridge, a community of nearly 7,000 people about 16 miles (25 kilometers) northwest of downtown Pittsburgh.

So, did the white guy in Pennsylvania point a shotgun at a cop?

No?

Then how is it the double standard you all are trying to turn it into?

All the woman in Ohio had to do was shut off her ignition and comply with the police.

She could have even locked herself in the car, called 911 and requested more officers to come and oversee the ones that were already there.

But no, she had to act typically stupid and ghetto by refusing to comply with a couple of whitey cops then tried to run over one.

Just the fact that she was 21 with two kids and one on the way, with no father tells us a bit about her character.

At any rate, she brought it on herself and I hope the officer is cleared and exonerated.

And no ghetto lottery for the family.

Also, the innocent little saint whose loss is so tragic for her bereaved family, had a restraining order placed against her by the same grandmother who is weeping for the cameras....

According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, Nadine Young called police on Sunday to her home on Divot Place after Ta'Kiya had shown up there. The court records said the elder Young told Columbus police officers that she had a protection order against her granddaughter, who was not supposed to be at the home.

Young had left before Columbus police arrived on the scene but a misdemeanor charge of violating a protection order was filed after Nadine Young filled out a witness statement, according to court records. It was the second such charge Young had faced as an adult.

She feared arrest...she had an outstanding warrant...how does color have anything to do with this? Was she defiant, uncooperative, and argumentative because of her color? How would it have been better to run him down? And why would the city "pay dearly" for this?

She put herself in that situation the cops didn't

police put themselves in a dangerous positions just by pulling over speeders red light runners and every call they go on!

Good point. She should have complied.

Everyone who attacked the police that day or crossed the barricade should have been shot just like vols said:
driving car with no tags,,,,cops could see she was guilty of that....not complying with a lawful order ...cops could see she was guilty of that....assaulting police with car....cops could see she was guilty of that.

all worse than shoplifting
