No, their headquarters are a mile away.

They do not keep units stationed and ready to go at a moments notice.

That is a process that takes time, far more than an hour.

Secondly, he has no authority to call out the national guard in DC, only the president can do that.

Thirdly it takes longer to mobilize the national guard than an hour meaning they wouldn't have gotten there in time anyways.

There's not much they could have done in a little over an hours time before the police got it under control.

Trump never gave the DC police authority to call the national guard. No president does that. I don't think that is even legal.

Congress has the power to delegate authority but not the president.

Presidents can use the DC Guard for law enforcement whenever they choose

They aren't on patrol like cops are, they are sleeping in bed or something and have to be summoned in.

Did any of that speech result in riots? It is free speech until it results in illegal action or conspiracy to commit illegal acts.

You can advocate anything--like overthrow of the government by violence--but you can't take any action to do it or conspire with others to do so.

A person can't incite a riot unless a riot actually occurs no matter what he said.

Violent protestors (the ones you saw rioting in the videos) assaulted police officers.

Most were peaceful. However, when police started assaulting the mostly peaceful protestors with mace and clubs, it turned more violent.

If it was so violent, why did capitol police escort people into and around the building?

Peaceful protestors were not charged unless they were trespassing.

The trespass charge is very weak. If capitol police escorted people into the building, they were charged with trespass. See any problems with that?

The point of this thread, which you apparently are incapable of comprehending while looking like an MSNBC parrot, is that all this could have been avoided and that this may have been the intent and result Democrats wanted.

There are so many better examples of Democrats inciting violence.

Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro said Democrats would “fight [Trump] and challenge him in every way that we can in the Congress, in the courts, and in the streets and protests,” regarding if Trump declared a national emergency.
