Yeah those thousands of us made assault rifles aren't killing anyone in Mexico. Capt NRA is earning your dues. You really believe the talking points they sell you.
Again, I'm pretty sure that if assault rifles were used, they would be Russian, not American. This is based on:
PRICE:A Ak of any model will sell for between $20-$40 in most countries on the black market, especially with over 100,000,000 made
AVAILABILITY:Not only were there over 100,000,000 AKs made around the globe, a great number of their were supplied to South American governments AND guerrilla forces during and after the cold war.
Now to play the other side of my argument, let's assume I'm wrong and that the guns used were manufactured in the U.S.
The U.S. has shipped arms to several South American governments AND guerrilla groups as well, to counter Russian influence, so this would fall on the GOVERNMENT, who ordered, paid, and shipped them to those countries.
What about individual sales here in America? Good question. Why would I, a criminal, go to a gun store, risk getting denied on my 4473 (a felony itself), pay between $500-$5000 (depending on choice of firearm), when I can get one off of a crooked cop or the black market in Mexico or South America?
Or are those facts and logic talking points too?
