Biden want's to force people to buy electric water heaters now

A decent 60 gal. electric hot water heater costs $1720.
Then there's the wiring and installation. removal of existing
gas line and breaker hookup. Add another $1000. Yep. Cheaper.

Who needs a 60 gal water heater?

For a tank-style heater, household size is a simple indicator of hot water needs.

You can estimate the necessary tank capacity (in gallons) based on the number of people in the house:

1 or 2 people—23 to 36 gallons
2 to 4 people—36 to 46 gallons
3 to 5 people—46 to 56 gallons
5 or more people—over 56 gallons (add 10 gallons per additional person)

Where did you get your price for a 60 gallon water heater?
Are you suggesting the only decent water heaters are heat pump electric?

I’m not a huge fan of meme posts but this one is spot on, IMO.

Edit: In fact, I’m borrowing it.

House size, be it a 4 person, two level with basement, it uses more hot water than your trailer does.
I have a 48 gal. gas hot water heater for a 3 bedroom, one story Ranch with a finished basement
for the GF and I. I can take a nice hot shower in the winter after the GF does all her wash, then
she can hop in and take one too. Then we can go out for lunch.

Look them up. If you prefer a low quality electric water heater, that's on you. I'll keep what I have.
Nope. I won't buy an electric hot water heater., nor will I wire my home and remove the gas line for one.

And you could do the same thing with a 30 gallon water heater.

Don't worry, you will be dead before your water heater needs to be replaced.

Wow! Uncensored's delusions are reaching a psychotic level:
Biden wants the federal government to have absolute control over all energy so it can be used as a weapon against enemies of the party.

Someone with such extreme, irrational fears requires major psychiatric intervention. I hope he gets help.

Mantra 1d.

You don't get to determine anyone's 'need', fascist.

You can look at a typical big box store like Home Depot. His estimate is actually rather low (perhaps he found a good deal somewhere?) They are $2267 at Home Depot. A heat pump model runs $2389.
A natural gas water heater from the same store is only $1167.

You will find similar prices at Lowe's, another big box hardware store.

A propane water heater is only $1119.

All of them are 60 gal or greater.

The only decent water heaters are the tank variety. The tank provides a thermal ballast, making the hot water more consistent in temperature regardless of varying loads. Natural gas and propane water heaters are cheapest to buy and operate.
