His flag is his own business and his first amendment right allows him to do so. It doesn’t bother me, but I am able to form my own opinion about the character of such a person. I would add that it bothers the shit out of my wife and my response is “Let it go”. She doesn’t much like that, either.

If you’re so blind as to the chest thumping type of Lee Greenwood type ‘Muricans, I feel sorry for you. Must be weird going through life with such blinders. Funny that you would not kniw what ‘Murica means.

Patriotism is more than that kind of ostentatious bullshit. It’s doing the every day stuff that makes us all better as a nation. It’s supporting efforts to better the welfare of ALL OF US, not just you, as an individual. But righties, in their ad nauseam, “It’s MY right” garbage that stands in the way.

To a democratic socialist like myself,
it's very, very easy to see
how conservative Americans mistake
nationalist chauvinism for patriotism.

A citizen unwilling to recognize our nation's shortcomings
is therefore unwilling to mitigate such problems
and thus cannot by any reasonable definition
be regarded as a patriot.

Draping flags over everything one owns
more likely reveals one to be an idiot,
not a patriot.

As a military veteran
and a person who never skips an election,
that's my personal opinion,
and my own opinion is obviously the only one that I'm authorized to give.

Thank you sir for your service... and as I've often said before I respect your opinion as well... but I'm not mistaking anything when it comes to the discussion of patriotism... I guess you would have hated our local parade..lol... and that's okay... we love how our community celebrates America!!
