Okay, I'll refute it. Affirmative action isn't intended to "undo" racism. It's intended to ameliorate the effect of racism that deprives kids of one race the same quality educational benefits received disproportionately by kids of a different race. Racism is endemic in American culture and the law is never going to make us all get over it. But law can help reduce some of racism’s harmful effects.
