At one time it meant something, but in today’s Congress, it has next to little significance, other than to feed the base, provide gotcha moments for the MAGA militia on Fox and alike

If anyone watched or listened to any of yesterday’s Durham testimony it is pretty obvious why the Freedom idiots hate Schiff, he outJordaned Jordan on Jordan’s own Committee
 
Actually he can no longer serve on committees

He was yanked off the intelligence committee so being censured has very big impacts

Schiff lost lots of power
 
Our government is a shit show--pretty much what the framers must have had in mind.

Still, I wonder if in their most drunken moments,
they imagined that it would eventually get this bad.

They may not have even realized their own capacity to create a spectacular dumpster fire.

You are wrong to say the censure blocked him from the committee. The Republicans did that last year.

Schiff, the former Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and the lead prosecutor in Trump’s first impeachment trial, has long been a top Republican political target. Soon after taking back the majority this year, Republicans blocked him from sitting on the intelligence panel.

More than 20 Republicans voted with Democrats last week to block the censure resolution, but they changed their votes this week after the measure’s sponsor, Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, removed a provision that could have fined Schiff $16 million if the House Ethics Committee determined he lied. Several of the Republicans who voted to block the resolution last week said they opposed fining a member of Congress in that manner.

Well, not that it matters, but you are incorrect, on both claims (https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/4050819-what-does-it-mean-if-someone-is-censured/), means next to nothing. At one time it did, but not today

Move was strictly to appease the Freedom idiots, Schiff is a thorn in their investigation charades, especially when on live TV, as I noted, he can outJordan Jordan

Committee assignments were done in late January, early February. Schiff was censured yesterday. It is now late June.
Schiff was not removed from any committee he was denied appointment to the intelligence committee because it is one of the few committees where the majority leader can refuse appointments by the minority party.

Schiff not being on the intelligence committee has nothing to do with the censure yesterday. It has everything to do with the GOP being petty and vindictive and not caring about the institutions of the US.

The Speaker does not need to justify his decision to remove someone from a select committee.
But since you are pushing it--Speaker McCarthy is corrupt and removed Schiff for doing his job.

Schiff questioned Durham yesterday. He got Durham to admit that he did not refute a single thing in the Mueller Report.
