Censure is merely a vote of disapproval and triggers an investigation into the censured member's conduct. If what you said were true, the majority party in the house could censure every member of the minority party and keep them all off committees.
Actually, every member who voted for that improper censure should be censured and after the next election, when Republicans get roundly defeated, that could happen.

He was denied a seat on the committee in January, 2023. Not after the censure in June.

You need a valid reason to censure and once censured it makes removing someone from a committee a non issue

I think he should serve prison time - just like the democrats did to Roger Stone.
Members have to be appointed (and re-appointed) to committees for each new Congress. Democrats re-nominated Schiff to the Intelligence Committee and McCarthy blocked that appointment which he has the power to do for select committees.
Officially, he was not a member of the committee for the current session.
Stone never served prison time.
Back in January, it’s not connected to this censure.
The Mueller witch trials sentenced him to 3 years for lying to congress.
But Stone is a Republican - we can't expect the same outcome for a Reich member like Schitt.
