How do you know enough about the inside the boardroom decision making at Disney Studios to make such a resounding pronouncement?
Here's the difference between myself - an intelligent, rational minded adult, and the crowd you're aligned with - a bunch of emotional, knee jerk hissy fit throwers....
I made it clear from the beginning that I was expressing an OPINION.
A belief.
Not about the quality of what's her name's acting ability or worthiness or any of the other personal shit you've attempted to devolve any possibility of a rational exchange of ideas into - typical of your ilk, btw.... but
my own personal assessment about why this particular casting decision was made.
While YOU... OTOH, as demonstrated in the above quote, make PRONOUNCEMENTS.
Rather than SUGGEST.... you instead AVER AS FACT, things that you have no way of knowing about.
Something you do regularly, BTW.
Such is your level of self-white-eousness.
The original movie had a white Ariel. The remake has an Ariel who is not white. Why would a remake with the original white Ariel be suddenly seen as "racist"? It's not and wouldn't be, except for those very sensitive souls like the ones here crying about the change.
Why were the OSCARS called racist just a few years ago, back when all this "blacks are victims of Hollywood" began, with blacks complaining about how no black films won any awards.

Had you been paying attention, you would not have needed to ask the question to begin with. You'd have known that in our current climate, blacks insist that they have the God given right to be included in everything.
