The Republican 2024 clown car filling up

Will Trump be the Republican nominee in July 2024?

With Donald Trump facing very serious legal problems, the Republican clown car is filling up. Not counting Trump himself, there are currently 6 candidates with 3-4 more expected to announce next week in Iowa.

IMO, this wouldn't be happening if the Republican leadership didn't know that Trump's ship is sinking.

A slight disagreement; Trump won't lose the general election because he won't be in it. :D

Agreed he's a thief. He's also a liar.

trump might die, but assuming he is alive, he will be in the general election. It amazes me, but him being arrested, convicted, or even fleeing to Russia will not keep him out of the general election. I would assume we would have some sort of law that says convicted felons, or fleeing traitors were not allowed to run for president, but there is no such rule. I would assume that a major party would never nominate a convicted criminal, but the party of trump definitely would.

I might be wrong, but it appears to me that the future is very laid out. trump can only win the nomination, and only lose the general election. The one caveat I will say is that if he dies, I think then maybe his supporters will not vote for him.

Or I might be missing an option. If I am, I am definitely all ears.

I'm not so sure, but would be willing to wager on it. This indictment came down a little quicker than I thought. There's still the election fraud in Georgia. Unlike national politics, if indicted, I suspect Pedo Don will stay out of Georgie to avoid arrest. LOL

Look around at the trump supporters. Are they turning on trump with the most recent indictments? I just do not see it. If anything, the more we prove trump guilty, the stronger his support from his die hard supporters, and they are a majority of the primary voters. Luckily, the trump die hard supporters are just a minority in the general election.

So I see a world where the more trump is proven guilty, the better his odds for the nomination, and the worse his odds in the general election. While the future is never certain, the future seems to be getting more and more certain.

The cracks are beginning to show. Those cracks will widen over the next few months, especially if Georgia or Arizona indict.

The Trumpers scream about the FBI and the Democrats going after Trump like Republicans did Hillary, but a State indictment for election fraud or similar crimes is more difficult for them to ignore.

I just think they will ignore any facts they disagree with. The more they disagree with the facts, the more they will ignore them. So state indictments will just cause the fanatics to support trump more.

A few years ago, I would have agreed with Doc. Even today, I hope Doc is right.

Just the psychos and the liars, but they're not the one's who would be persuaded by facts.

If the Trumpers revolt, then it would solve a lot of problems. You can bet Trump won't be on the front lines getting shot. LOL

trump and his supporters have a loyalty that works in only one direction.

They also support terrorism and treason. I have no sympathy for them when they go down...and I hope they go down hard.
