Meanwhile, there are no serious challengers for Biden. So Democrats are looking at Biden and thinking he is reasonable, while Republicans are questioning what is happening with trump. Then there is the fact that Biden's entire campaign will go into winning the general election, while Republican campaigns will go to fighting for the nomination.
There is a lot to be said for being boringly competent, like Biden. trump is definitely not competent, but I do have to admit his clowning around is getting boring.
Biden will be doing the Presidential Debate, which is more than we can probably say about trump.

Most Americans want neither. There's a reason why 70% of Americans refuse to be Democrats...just like there's a reason why 70% refuse to be Republicans: because each party puts party interests over those of most Americans.
IMO, as long as it's not Trump...and maybe DeSantis, then the Republicans have a very good chance of winning in 2024 against Biden.
DeSantis is more of a wild card, but I even think Biden has a better than even chance against DeSantis.

At this rate, I agree. It's almost like DeSantis wants to run for President but really only wants reelection as Governor.
Right now, it doesn't matter; Trump is in the lead. When he goes down, who moves into the vacuum remains to be seen. If it's DeSantis, I doubt he could easily step into Trump's tiny shoes.
