I salute ANY American who has put themselves into harm's way to protect me, my family & my country.
The causes haven't always been just. Vietnam was a terrible conflict, that we never should have been in. But the soldiers who fought it? They get my respect, and my gratitude, and my admiration. It's not something I could do, and I am immensely grateful for their service & sacrifice.
There are 4 or 5 military bases withing walking distance of me. I constantly talk with our soldiers and sailors. They laugh and brag about making a career off the taxpayer teat.
There has been a spike in suicides these past 20 years. A high percent of them are military.
Those aren’t the ones we’re talking about in this thread. I hope they never have to be a veteran of a foreign war.

I don't think most trump voters are in touch with the truth. It's more about trolling those with whom they disagree. I'm sure people like TA feel POW's are heroes. It's more about angering those who vote differently than they. It's a shame, because it's dishonest. It would be nice to have an honest discussion with trump voters - it's just that they like trolling more than discussing.
Go to any VA hospital and give me the percentage of beds that English is their 2nd language.

The military can't recruit enough people from this country, plus Americans only speak one language. The navy needs sailors who can speak Russian, Chinese and Persian.
Lol, my nephew speaks Farsi, but he’s an American born and raised. There are American soldiers that speak those languages, they don’t have to be foreign born, only 5% of our military are not American citizens.
